Guest guest
Hi folks, About once a year, I drop a little note here to tell people that we have a little Yahoo group called " The Diabetic Male. " This is primarily for guys (though we don't discriminate - women may also join, especially those who want to help their husbands, boyfriends, sons, etc.) My thinking for starting this group a couple of years ago is that it might be difficult for some men to want to discuss male problems (like impotence, prostate gland problems and even the emotional/psychological aspects of a man dealing with diabetes) in a " mixed " discussion group. I think the group has been helpful to the guys (and one girl) since I started it. We'd love to have more folks join it and become active. Guest guest
Jim, I thank you for offering that group to us. I want to add that we female diabetics can also suffer the condition of being " dead from the waist down. " The further our body parts are from our hearts, the more likely that those parts will exhibit impaired circulation. It's extremely common, and may be an early sign of impending diabetes in those not yet diagnosed.
