Guest guest Posted March 23, 2004 Report Share Posted March 23, 2004 Duragesic Patches and would not trade them for any other med have tried so far. Does not mean they work for all but work for me. I've also been using Duragesic Patches since Nov. 2003, due to skin sensitivity, doctor has us spray the area with Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray and let it dry prior to applying the patches. Last visit the dose was increased and now wear 2 patches every 24 hours. I don't use the Bioclusive Transparent Dressing over the patches, each patient is different as to their needs. I also use the Rhinocort Aqua spray under the Lidoderm patches to avoid break outs. Using the Duragesic Patches has been extremly helpful, I also take other meds, including breakthru med when needed. Can you tell me if this also helps with the patches adhesiveness? That is the reason I always wore the Bioculusives was when took shower or sweated the edges loosened and had to cover patches. So please when you have chance would be most grateful to know how or if your patches stay on and where you wear them. I put mine on my upper arm. I am really wanted this spray you use to keep the patches on me and not have to use anything else. What strength of Duragesic do you use? I use 3 75's each time put them on. So wondered what strength you had and can you tell me what does the Liodcaine do for you? Does this work for pain? Joanne, This spray doesn't help keep the Duragesic patches on, the reason I use it is to avoid my skin breaking out from the adhesives, spray it on arm let it dry well and then apply patches. Guest guest Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 Where do you get that spray is it over the counter or by prescription , Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray is by prescription, if your doctor writes it for you make sure he writes Aqua, the pharmacy gave me the inhaler which was useless to me.
