JoAnn, thank you for the information, that was Extremely helpful. I have to read through all the symptoms again, I just printed it out so I can check off which ones I have. I won't know for sure until I go to the reumatologist on the 30th of this month. The waiting is so awful and I pray I don't have this or lupus. I really do appreciate all this information though, it helps to know I'm not alone and can get so much help from everyone. Many thanks and pain free days...Lori

Your welcome Lori and hope you do not have Lupus or the other. It is very common to have your ANA up due to alot of people with rsd also have Arthritis and it could be that is reason your ANA is up so try not to worry. Not that Arthritis is pleasant but might be easier to deal with than Lupus or having that gene. Take care and try not to worry as just gives you a headache and wrinkles(LOL about wrinkles anyway) but really not easy to just let it go till 30th but you can't do anything so try and relax, okay?!

JoAnn,

Thank you for understanding, it is hard to let go but I just try to put it in the back of my mind for now, otherwise I'd go crazy and yes get wrinkles...lol. Along those lines I swear my hair is getting much greyer since all of this started!! lol, just kidding...well it is getting grey but my mom turned grey really early too, I'm sure it is from that. I'm going to treat myself to a haircut today. I haven't had one in almost a year since I had surgery and then RSD, but I need a little lift so I'm going to suffer through the pain. Just hope they don't chop it off!!! Have a great day, wil talk to you all tonight.

Now that is what a call a smart woman. Take charge of your day, decide to do something positive, even if it is small or big, takes only a minute or two or takes couple hours, just do something that makes you pleased. Won't change a thing about the pain, or take away the rsd but for those minutes you will like what your doing. That is a good thing. Hugs, getting ready to go to Little Rock for Rhuematologist., almost 100 miles each way. Yuck. But good doctor. May not be on tonight just depend how tired body is. Take care all and Lori hope your hair is just perfect!!!!

Thanks JoAnn, it was a struggle but well worth it! I went to a new stylist and she did a great job. I'm going to try to go back in a couple weeks and get some highlights - these damn grey hairs have got to go! She said she would try and go quick for me. I hope you had a good day too!

Glad you like your hair cut and think highlights are great. I color my own hair and highlight it also. Done it for years and never know just how it will turn out but is alot cheaper for me to do it and besides if does not turn out right can only blame myself. Enjoy your hair.

I do know that I had arthritis in my right ankle before I got RSD.....although, the RSD started in my knee and not my ankle.

I had broken my ankle when I was 15, Ten years before I got hurt....and was told that it was only badly sprained, not broke. 4 days after I broke it, I was walking on it without crutches or pain meds even. It was completely black and blue. When they x-rayed it, it looked like I had a grapefruit on each side of my ankle. Instead of telling my dad to get the swelling down first, and THEN bring me back to have it x-rayed.....they just went ahead and said it was sprained.

2 years later, I was still having problems with my ankle, and went to see a foot/ankle doc, who had x-rays taken again. He could tell that it had been broken in 2 places!!!

And, 2 1/2 years after I was DX'd with RSD....I also was Dx'd with Fibro. So, I would have to say that it does go together. My Egg Donor also has Fibro...she was Dx'd with it back in Jan. 03....and I found out myself in July 03.
