Guest guest
I still go everyday. And I am glad too because I want to go everyday. It worries me if I don't go one day because I get those hemmroids so darn bad when I get backed up. Mine are " healthy " also. Okay enough said about my BM's. LOL chris B. 7/23/03\ 301/270/150 How Do You Doodoo? LOL! Only with my friends could I ever act like such an idiot! Seriously, now...who all has a bowel movement on a daily basis after surgery? I could swear I remember from a pre-op nutrition class that we talked about this, and were told it would be a lot less frequently. If you go only once every 3-4 days, no big deal unless you're feeling constipated. So I ask because I've been going everyday. And I'm even surprised at how...ahem, " healthy " (as my father would say) they are. Just curious. in CA LAP RNY 07-17-03 324/276.75/130? Guest guest
I seem to be " regular " too. I wonder if intake has anything to do with frequency. Right after the surgery, my appetite was very much alive and now, two weeks later, not as much. My doctor said that in a few more weeks, I will likely have less appetite than now. I'd bet that the frequency will change when the intake does...This is my first posting and I'm really glad to meet others who had the surgery! Guest guest
tanya, buy yourself a couple of dishwasher sponges. they are a little pom-pom sponge on a long plastic handle. If there is a Dollar General Store in your area they carry them and they are easy to clean you and easy to clean them also. Now you know my secret, LOL. Goods luck. A. B. Guest guest
Good idea.. I had to support my stomach with one hand, and wipe with the other.. It was a little uncomfortable.. I never ever felt clean enough the first week.. I hated that feeling.. Sorry for being so explicit.. But you have to stretch back, and you are in pain for the first few days, so it's not easy.. But I hardly ever went anyway.. I was very constipated the first week.. Is this common for anyone else??? Greer

Guest guest
I guess i missed this some how...lol I recall asking some questions about such personal issues and you were all so great. I didnt go back and find the original post, but if you are still reading, I recommend those wipes that are disposable. I took those with me to the hospital and that work so good. I was also told to stand up and it worked fine. Not to be too graphic...lol but they had a chair in the bathroom and you can put your leg up on that so you dont have to stretch as much. I had a huge fear about needed help to use the bathroom and it all worked out just fine for me, thanks to some great advice and ideas here.
