Guest guest
Hey Terry, My maternal grandmother's name is Emma, too (she's 90 this year.) Come to think of it, my husband's maternal grandmother's name was also Emma! Sue D At 11:15 AM 4/12/01 -0400, you wrote: >Emma, > >Welcome! You have one of my favorite names. Thank you Terry :-) Your advice is great, , and I'll be sticking mainly to these basic foods, intitially. I find eating in a restaurant OK: it's just coping with sandwich bar and cafe food that's a nightmare. One question I have for you right off is, do any of you have a recipe or a suggestion for a low-carb bread-substitute specifically for the purpose of making sandwiches? I go away most weekends to take part in my favourite sport and need to take food with me since all that's available at the food van is carb, carb, carb-rich. I camp while I'm there so don't have a fridge either to keep cold chicken in. I am *so* glad to have joined this group. I just *know* it's going to make all the difference to my success. Guest guest
Welcome, Emma! At the bottom of each post are several links that you can click on, one is for favorite recipes. If you follow that link you will find a recipe for Atkins rolls that work well for sandwiches. They are nothing like rolls in my opinion, but they so work for sandwiches and lots of other uses.
