Hi Sheila,

I too found out I was pregnant on my one year anniversary! And like you, I

stressed about the weight gain. This is my second child (my boy is almost 5

years old) and it was hard at first to enjoy the news knowing I would be

gaining weight. BUT, I am now 21 weeks pregnant and am STILL not back up to

my pre-pregnancy weight.

I lost 11 pounds the first trimester and have only gained back 9 of those

pounds. Over half way through with pregnancy and am doing quite well. Have

had NO desire or energy to do any exercising and have not really been

watching what I eat although I do still stay away from sweets as much as I

can because they cause me to dump.

Before surgery I weighed 375 pounds. At my one year anniversary I was 205.

Today I am 203 and 21 weeks pregnant. All I can say is THANK GOD for this

surgery! With my first pregnancy, I had already gained 30 pounds by the

halfway mark!!

Happy Re-Birthday, Sheila!

I've never posted here before, but I have been lurking

for a few months. I had my surgery a year ago today,

also!! We aren't pregnant, yet, but I will know by

Saturday. This was our first month trying.

I would do your best to make the proper choices as you

go. Remember protein, protein, protein! Do you take

any vitamins? I recommend going to Vitalady.com. She

had RNY and knows tons about nutritional supplements!

Best of luck and I hope to be as far along as you,

soon!!

Dear Shelia,

I am two years post op started at 290 and ended at 190. I am 8 weeks pregnant

on Friday and am so nauseated I have lost 6 pounds. I couldn't lose before

pregnancy and now that my digest tract is slowed down so much, I am full

sooooo easy. Constipated too. I don't plan to gain more than 20lbs. I also

signed up for water aerobics that starts next week. Good luck to you I will

look for your posts.

Congratulations! I am 4 weeks by day of LMP or 15 days by conception .. what

is your due date? I calculated mine to be Feb 14th, 2002. I'm glad to know

someone else here with a close date. It will be fun!

Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I make sure I have at least one

protein drink a day on top of my regular intake. I also take a

pregnancy vitamin that I have been taking since my surgery, this is

because of the high iron content in these vitamins. Also vitamin c

and a calcium pill.

Hopefully you had good news about being pregnant. Good luck.
