Guest guest
Hi uncowled, Everything Alan and the others have said is worth listening to. I would only add that I took a small digital recorder when I met my urologist after the biopsy showed cancer (7 of 12 samples positive, 3+4=7 Gleason), and he drid not object. I explained that I was unlikely to correctly remember what he said, so I needed to record. I did the same with the radiation oncologist I consulted before meking a decision. He also did not object. Both times I transcribed the recording after I got home. It really helped clarify the situation. Guest guest
Yes your journey is just starting. You are going to get all sorts of information from different sources. After my CT/bone scan which came out clean, my doctor wanted to do surgery within 6 weeks. I'm sure glad I didn't listen to him, and took my time, and chose my treatment after 5 months of study. One thing you will find out is there is no perfect " cure " . Your decision will be based on your comfort level with the available treatments. Good luck and God Bless. > > Just starting my journey, psa above borderline, digital exam felt lump, biopsies positive, two days ago had CT, Bone scans x-rays etc. Doc visit a week wednesday. >
