Guest guest
i can understand your protectiveness with i also try and keep melissa away from anyone who is sick head lice is one thing i have tryed to keep her from getting when my son was little his dr said to use hair spray on his hair before he goes to school and wash everyday this helped him all through his school days he never got head lice knock on wood with melissa she ended up with it 1 time and it was from my niece she got them from i almost shaved her bald headed due to my fear of getting this stuff i took her to the dr and she confirmed it and explained i didnt need to shave the head lololol but showed me how to get rid of them and keep them away it took 2 or 3 weeks of stripping her hair to get them all but she had very long hair down to her waist also took 2 hours everyday to do that the dr said the same thing about the hair spray use it and wash the hair everyday so thats what i did lololol and no more of them i went nuts because i knew them things would get every where in the house so i scrubbed everything lolololol dont be afraid of things but be cautious of things i have lysol spray in the house all the time i know this only helps inside the house and i cant protect melissa from the outside world but i can teach her and that is what i did washing hands is the most important one keeping them clean if you hear someone coughing or sneezeing step away from them if you hear someone say they have a fever step away dont share cups or spoons or forks or eat after anyone bathrooms is where kids pick up things also and this should be extremely taken to teaching them what to do i do not use my hand to flush a toilet in any store or mall i will use the toe of my shoe or toilet paper also use toilet paper to cut on the faucet and shut it off bacteria is everywhere kids do as they see if you the parent do these steps as a example the kids will follow you lololol you lessen the risk of germs you cant keep them from getting sick but you can try and do the best you can like in the kitchen washing the hands alot while cooking is great when i finish with one thing i am cooking and have that on the stove or in the oven i wash my hands then start on something else just like this anthrax germ or spores use common sense with touching things think about a dollar bill lolololol or a coin those are touched by how many people ? Guest guest
, we live in Mundelein, IL. Were near Great America, where is Lake in the Hills? I've heard of it. My daughter is 7 too. How long has had this? Maybe they could meet someday, we don't know any other kids with JRA, near us I mean. is Systemic and we just passed our 1 year mark. She is doing fairly well but seems to be having trouble getting used to going to school everyday. It really wears her out. I'm sorry that isn't feeling well. Is she only on MTX? is on MTX pills, folic acid, Arava, prednisone, calderol and ibuprofen. Please keep in touch. I have been trying to find someone near us. Guest guest
Hi , Seems like you're doing the very best you can. Hopefully the injections will start to make a big difference soon and 's eyes and knees will start showing signs of improvement. It does sometimes leave you feeling powerless though, wanting to do something more to help in a bigger way but not really having anything more to do. Like you said, you have to give it some more time and try to remain hopeful. Since Josh takes prednisone and MTX, as well as the other meds, it's hard to know for sure if MTX or something else might be to blame. When he does catch something viral, our past experience has been that it takes longer for it to clear up and sometimes causes an increase in his arthritis symptoms. I stress that washing his hands frequently and well is one of the best ways to avoid catching what's going around. He doesn't get as sick as often now, as he used to. He's getting older (12, now) and I think the hygiene lessons are better understood. Still bothers me when he tells me about kids that seem really sick still going to school. He's very conscious of their coughs and sniffling and likes to avoid getting too close. Hang in there, Becki, and give a gentle hug ... Guest guest
Hi Jane, This is Bridget ('s wife) I have a lot of questions. Where and what do you buy? MG's and name brand? Also where do you get it? My son is 3 1/2 he is verbal but hard to understand. He was making great progress last school year and now he seemed to take a lot of steps backwards over this summer. He loves foods, and has good oral ability, but has a very hard time talking. We have been working on him since he was 1 1/2 yr old. Bridget Re: [ ] jenny > Hi ? Guest guest
hi, Bridget Sorry i've not got back to you sooner, been off line for a couple of days. Maybe you got the info you need already, i've not checked the other posts yet.Anyway i am actually based in the UK and i use the brand Efalex. Although when i first heard about EFAs i actually traced them to the USA. If i remember correctly they were from a company called Nordic Naturals, based in California. I eventually got them via Holland [my brother lived there] But i found my daughter developed a rash on this brand. There is also a brand called EYEQ not sure if this is available in the states. Hope you've got the info you need already, if not maybe someone closer to home may be able to fill you in better than myself. Oh yes i've heard that most children make a big step forward with their speech at around about 3 years old, so hang in there. Jane. Re: [ ] jenny > > > > Hi ?
