Guest guest
Most yogurt wont' do you any good. You to consume the ones (probiotic pills or drinks) which are said by consumer groups to have in them what they the mfg's claim are in them. The usual OTC grocery store yougurts have little to no beneficial flora and fauna in them. -----Original Message-----From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of LohrenzSent: Thursday, May 18, 2006 1:01 PMTo: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: Sherri Has anyone tried Yogurt capsules three times a day for prevention of yeast while on on antibiotics or eating plain yogurt three times a day? RE: Sherri Hi Dusty: I think that in some way Diflucan works on inflammation. My daughter has Crohn's Disease and has chronic inflammation starting from her rectum, thoughout her entire colon, intestines and ileum. Her period makes her Crohn's flare up. Maybe it's not the possible yeast factor, but the inflammation. My daughter was on Flagyl (the BV drug) for months from the GI doctor. They use that for inflammation on 'Cronnies' also. We have a GI doctor appointment tomorrow, I'm going to ask him about the Diflucan. My daughter gets embarrassed talking about her vagina to him because he's a man. The vulvar specialist is a women. Sherri Sherri -------------- Original message -------------- Does anyone know if it is true that treating yeast when it doesn't exist (or "just in case") actually does cause proliferation of yeasts which become untreatable because there are no meds to stop them? I mean, that IS, happening with antibiotics - and the bugs just get smarter. Does yeast get smarter too? Geez Sherri, If it was me, I'd be wanting real proof to use Diflucan so as to avoid a 'superbug' of sorts at a later time. What an awful shame that young people who should be running wild and free (welllll - safely wife and free LOL) have to deal with such traumatic health issues. Cant' this doc do testing to look for yeast? And give her 200mg of Diflucan. It is something to try with no evidence that she has yeast. When she was on long term Flagyl for her Crohn's disease, she had one yeast infection, but that was it. When she doesn't take her Crohn's meds or use her Atropine/Estradiol cream like she is supposed to, I notice that she complains of burning when she starts her period. Or, she just wants to stay home from school that day!!! Sherri -------------- Original message -------------- From: taurusrc@... Why does your doctor want her to take Diflucan? Are you sure that is what hesaid.
Guest guest
Sherri, Yeah I wont say anything about myself. I thought if they new I had a history and do have a diagnosis that they would take her more seriously, but thats not the case. The riziotomy is when they cut the nerve. What kind of surgery did your husband have? Is he any better? I need to get the Artificial Disk Replasement, but medical insurance companies havnt picked it up yet. Iv talked to 2 ppl here in michigan who were fortunate to have it. They are doing well. Both had it a little over a year ago. I also researched the disk itself and its very impressive. I really want this, but I dont have $30,000. Im trying to hang in im hoping in 2 years maybe it will be covered. They want to do that Spinal Fusion. Um no it's not for me and I went on a back pain support group and not one person is better for having it. Some are much worse and regret it. Kind Regards, Tami --- Shopper56@... wrote: > Tami: > > Do you have to tell 's doctor that you are a > chronic pain sufferer? Guest guest
Tami, Most drs don't ask if there's a family history of endometriosis as they should b/c it can run in families. But it is true that unless they ask your history is irrelevant. Also, driver's ed should be free in the schools. I would contact the school district for your part of the State or even the State Superintendent's office to find out why they are charging the people for this when it should be free. Also, check with the community education dept of your county to see if they offer driver's ed courses for youths. It may be cheaper than thru the school if you have to pay something. How I know about this is b/c of the fact that we have a community education program here in my county here in FL and they offer driver's ed courses for both youths and adults. I took the course for adults and have a learner's license (that's what they call them here in FL) but don't have the actual license yet. I hope that will change in the months after I have my surgery on the 6th to check the status of my endo yet again. Guest guest
Thank you Sherri, I appreciate this. Let me know how your progress goes. > > Hi : > > I am just jumping in here on the Estrace idea. I started using Estradiol about 6 weeks ago. I had been hesitant to use it because I have always gotten so many yeast infections, finally after four plus years of burning 24/7 I figured what the hell. > > I haven't gotten any yeast infections and I use it every night. And my burning has decreased considerably. I'm waiting to see if I see a difference in the post period flare up that I always get. I don't get the post sex flare up since starting it. > > Sherri > > > > <<<After using the Estrace you were pain free?
