I went to a speech therapist and the exercises she gave me were excellent. My

tongue and lips were stengthened, enabling me to eat and speak better.

The exercises only take about 5 minutes twice a day. Hope this helps, Greg

Re: Eating

I have a problem with speech and I find it difficult to move food

around in my mouth. The problem is that I find a way to get junk

food down and I'm gaining weight since I'm in a chair 75% of the

time. I see it coming though.

My best to you,

Donna

HI i take Creatine and it does help it is a muscle builder as our muscles

need it as your tongue and facial muscles weaken speech changes and chewing

,swallowing etc. MAKE VERY SURE YOU TAKE ENOUGH it makes your mouth dry but

it does help GEO

,

I scanned them and e-mailed to five of our group and no one could open the

attachment. The strange thing is I e-mailed to 3 people not in the PLS group and

all three had no problems. By chance are you a computer Guru? Any & all advice

appreciated!

Have a good day,

Greg

I am having a problem with the attachment opening for the PLS group, but not

people outside the group. Maybe someone can walk me thru the process?

Have a good day,

Greg

Greg,

Some time ago, there was a problem with viruses being spread through

attachments on the PLS-Friends list, so the list owner made the decision to

not allow attachments to be sent. That's why you never see them.

Getta, You should talk to your DR because you need to eat. Check on your saturation. God Bless. Love and Prayers, Peggy  ipf 6/04 Florida"Worry looks around, Sorry looks back, Faith looks up." Eating is on top my list of 'things most difficult todo' my list in the order of difficulty would beclimbing, walking, any sort of work which requiresmobility, talking, etc but since i cannot avoid eatingand can afford to be at rest, eating has now becomethe most difficult thing for me though this was almostunnoticeble earlier it has become very very pronouncednow since a year or so, that is after 12 years Ihave observed that small and frequent meals are best, having fluids and liquids make no difference , mydoctor told me what Bruce says the diaphragm getpushed and the lung space gets reduced another conclusion that i have arrived at is that when we eatall the o2 during respiration gets diverted to thedigestion process and we get short of o2 for any otheractivity does this sound crazy??but i have now reached a stage where even a verylittle quantity of food makes me breathless andmiserable i cant see properly or even think iconcentrate on anything and i have to rest but thethe saturation falls only marginally how will uexplain this ,I feel miserable for an hour or so i plan my eating according to my work schedules any suggestions? __________________________________________________________Never miss a thing.
