Recurrent myopericarditis

I have had pericarditis constantly since jan this year which came as a shock as

I was training for a half marathon!! I am 28 and the doctors have put me on

antiinflamatories and colchicine. They are reluctant to use steroids yet. I

would like to hear from

anyone in a similar position as I am finding it difficult to cope with. I have

had to stop working ,socialising etc well doing anything basically. Is this

normal I thought people felt well in between relapses but I don't.

Adult tonsilectomy

Hi. I have just recently had my tonsils out, a week ago from today to be exact.

Sofar the recovering has been rough. I am out of rough for 2 weeks. I was

extremely nausau for about 5 days and vomitted on one occasion. However, the

results are suppose

to greatly improve my life. I had the surgery due to sleep apnea. My suggestion

to you is that if the surgery is going to greatly improve your health than go

for it but be prepared for a long recovery process. Get good drugs and don't

count on eating

for awhile. Good luck

PMR

Have just been diagnosed with p.m.r.i am 48 years old which is quiet young have

a bad case of fatigue hands and legs just dont want to move

have had 25mg prednisolone for one week and been reduced to 20 mg for one week

then 15 the next week and 12.5 the next week feel better with joint pain but am

struggling with the fatigue does anybody know of any vitamins to take to help

Giardia

Personal experience after suffering for many many years. told it was colitis,

nerves, get in therapy, finally found a dr. explained how it started overseas,

given flagyl... did the trick. maybe there is a natural remedy somewhere

Sacroiliac Dysfunction

I have sacroiliac dysfunction. It has caused my pelvis to be out of alignment

many of times and I think it is causing hip bursitis in both my hips. I have

done therapy many times and cannot get good answers if the bursitis is coming

from the SI

dysfunction.

If there is anyone out there familiar with this, please reply. I am DESPERATE

FOR ANY HELP ANYONE CAN OFFER.

Post Gallbladder Surgery

My mother had her gallbladder out a month ago and is having trouble with nausea

and diarrhea. Any suggestions for foods dos and don'ts would be appreciated and

any other helpful information. We thought getting the GB out would solve her

problems like it

did for my sister-in-law, but still getting sick. She is 90 years old, but I do

wish she could enjoy a better quality of life after having gone through this

surgery. Any advice would be appreciated.

Fibro and the immune system

I have been diagnosed with moderate ashtma, fibromyalgia and polycystic kidney

disease. my dr. recently told me that my immune system was over active. After i

left my dr. I thought what does it all mean? What is the end result? Is there a

way to calm the

immune system? Can anyone answer my questions for me????

Bowel Problem

I have your answer! After years of this problem, a Dr. told me to take

Metamusil. Not the sugar free, or the orange flavor but regular. Do not follow

the directions on the container, but take 1 tablespoons in a glass of water each

morning and night. The

directions only call for 1 teaspoon. Lay off the white bread also. Myself, and 3

other people have had wonderful luck with this. No more cramping, bloating, and

feeling yukky all the time. Do drink plenty of water also.

Fifth disease

I am a 35 yr old female who became infected while I was pregnant. Thank goodness

no harm to my son but imagine the joint pain while being 7 months pregnant. I

have had four rash outbreaks since the original: 3 while pregnant and one this

weekend.Joint

pain on and off but mainly on. I have not been able to get answers from my

regular dr or oby/gn. Everyone said usually a few months - I am still

counting...almost 10 months now!!

Trich

hi Lissa i just wanted to thank you for your story. my daughter was diagnosed

with trich about 6 months ago and has been pulling her hair for about 3 years. I

began to do research and read other peoples stories on the subject to learn as

much as possible.

My daughter is not yet comfortable talking to any body other then myself about

her diagnosis so i try to educate her and give her all the info. that i find.

she is on medication and doing alot better since she told me about her problem.

me dealing with

not knowing what she was going through for so long is a different story and i am

dealing with that and doing research on how people go to the extreme of hiding

this disorder. I think about all the people who have it and are struggling to

hide it and how i

can help. thanks again for your article i just wanted you to know it does help

and reached someone.

Flu

I have MS and Crohn's disease as well as other disorders. I always get a flu

shot and have heard that this is going to be a particularly bad season for the

flu. I've never had a reaction nor has anybody else in my family. Now that the

live virus is no

longer used in the flu vaccine its impossible to get the flu from the shot.

When the live virus was used some people who had the shot contracted the flu,

but had a milder version of it. I have heard from people that claim they had

the flu from the flu

shot, but there has to be other reasons they got it. They may have already been

coming down with the flu before they had the shot or it could be a different

strain than that shot covered that year or a myriad of other reasons, but it is

impossible to get

the flu from the shot.

Heart murmor

Hi my Name is Collene and I have a daughter that just turned a year old and when

I took her for her check up and her shots they told me that she has a heart
