Oxalates

Hi,

About the low oxalate diet, I did it with no success along with the timed citrate. When I saw Dr. Peacocke, the "VAGINA QUEEN", as she calls herself, she told me she did it too, just to see how bogus it was b/c she didn't have any pain, and wouldn't you know, her results were high too.

What bothers me most about the diet is that the list keeps changing. One minute a food is high, next it is low or medium. Now I heard that cashews are good when all nuts were once bad. SOme foods were tested in all 3 brackets.

I eat lots of high oxalate things with no change in symptoms from when I ate according to the low ox diet. I do agree that oxalates can perhaps irritate skin that is already sensitive, but don't think the diet looks at why the skin is so sensitive in the first place.

Just my thoughts.

As I have previously stated I started out by using only the no-oxalate foods and

I had results within a week or less. The pain decreased considerably. As time

went on I discovered which foods I could eat comfortably and which ones gave me

a flare. Some high oxalate foods did not bother me at all and some lows did,

so I just ate what I could and discovered that some foods that gave me a flare

did not as time passed or did only if I ate them regularly.

At this point I can eat almost anything I want but some things I cannot eat two

days in a row.

Also I don't think my urine has anything to do with it. Constipation or

diarrhea always produce vulvar pain so I do my best to avoid them.

One thing really puzzles me - If I eat sliced ham from one of those packages I

need to rinse off the ham before I put it in the sandwich because if I don't I

get a flare within minutes of eating it. Now that has nothing to do with urine.

Vitamin k liquid by Thorne has helped me a lot to tolerate oxalates.

Now I can eat nuts, carrots, spinach and other foods without getting urinary

pain and low urine stream as well as no sore toes and inflamation.

Vitamin k has been great for me.

Juice Fasting and Detoxification by Steve Meyerowitz. This book will break down
