Guest guest
I was a week late with and I probably would have gone longer IF the doctor hadn't induced and broke my bag of waters when I was in the hospital 2 cm dilated. Jen

Guest guest
My babies were always early 3-4 weeks early. My friends and family usually had them early by only 1 week or on time by 1-2 days. With a Christmas Eve due date I would think the Dr. would enduce you before the holiday, if all looks right. My due date is 1-15-01 I will look forward to your posts. Guest guest
, My first, Madison, was due on December 20th, 1999, due to severe complication because of OSS the doctor induced labor on the morning of December 21st. I don't know how long it would have been otherwise but when he did my " check " on the afternoon of the 20th I was three cm dilated so it probably would not have been much longer. Due to the problems, she will not only be my first, but also my last! The sincerest good luck is sent your way! a L. Guest guest
Hi, My first(and only right now)was either perfectly on time according to one doctor or a week late according to another. My first OB gave us the EDD of June 18( iwrote this in my pregnancy journal, then forgot about it), I changed OBs and my second moved up th date ten days(8-11th). We really hope for the 12th ( FIL-10th of june, HUBBY-11th of june) but it was not to be. DS popped out with the aid of forcepts and a vaccumm on the 18th. There is a long labor story that goes along with this sentence but maybe another post. GOod luck, I don't thing it is a wives tale because even both of my OBs told that first babies are late and the lactation class and birthing class teahers both said the same thing. Guest guest
My son was born 9 weeks early by emergency c-section (I went into labour naturally but had some major dramas as it progressed). So its not true for everyone...
