Guest guest
Lavon, I developed a severe cough in 1990 on a flight to San Diego. The flight had nothing to do with it. Every time I opened my mouth to talk, I would cough so hard I would gag. My wife told me God was trying to tell me something. It got so bad that when my office phone would ring, I would immediately start to cough. Four years and five pulmonologists later I was still coughing. At that time I had a dx of chronic progressive MS and was on a steady diet of immense doses of steroids. One of the side effects was a doubling of the length of my uvula (that little projection that hangs down in the back of your throat). I even had a uvulectomy to shorten it (I told everyone my hangdown was too long and I had to have it shortened). Finally, a neuro in Tucson said he thought it was acid reflux and put me on 150mg of Zantac and it stopped my coughing. Ask your neuro about acid reflux. I will not make you make more urine, at lest it doesn't me. Vaughn Re: Re: Swollen Feet > Count me in with the leg swelling. Guest guest
.....oh, I just want to come and spank you right now. You're incredible the way you remain active through everything and all the things you do and your attitude. But...........(oh its what comes after the but that always hurts) You do need to once in your life recognize some limits.....the closets and items didn't have to all get done this morning. Enjoy your weekend but please don't overdo.....make others do. And, you do have a great holiday. I know you will.....can't imagine you letting anything keep you from that. But some small degree of that word I don't think you know....moderation....lol You are completely insane and adorable. > > i was sent home from work today. > > i think i overdid myself this morning with cleaning out the kids > closets and getting the items over to the battered women and > children's shelter in our area. > > when i got to work i went into this coughing fit before i even got to > my desk and it scared the hell out of my boss. she said she had never > seen someone turn so many shades of red and purple. she slapped my O2 > on my face while i was coughing and then told me to go home and > rest..she'd rather me miss a day or 2 than weeks because i ended up > in the hospital. > > she's very sympathetic being as she was my boss when i got sick and > since then her mother was diagnosed with lung cancer after never > having smoked a day in her life and is also on O2 around the clock. > > i am still however heading up to the san antonio region tomorrow for > the weekend. i will be visiting teri and jon as well as attending my > husband's 5 generation family gathering. > > i hope this finds everyone as well as can be expected. > > Love you all and happy holidays from all of the cloningers > > LCH 10-05....chuck, ashli and nicholas >
