Guest guest
Hey everyone, Things have been wild the last few days. I have been bad about just scanning and not responding to everyone. To all the new guys, I am new too and this is a wonderful group. So glad you are here with us. has his first ENT appointment today since the big DIAGNOSIS. Dr. Castillo has thought all along that this is what he had. He is very smart. Anyway, he just tried to prepare me for the future a little, I think. He said he would have more sinus sx probably and all of this other stuff I can't remember. His CT scan showed a lot of mucosal thickening in lots of different places. The windows he made during sx were still open so that was good. He didn't mention any polypoids this time. During surgery, he got a lot of polypoid lesions out of the nasal cavity. I forgot to ask. He just said it was as expected. Is this good expected or bad expected? Ugh. He also thinks he is getting another infection. We just got off a central line back in June. That was interesting; a two year old on a central line, interesting story, not anything like poor 's story- you poor thing. MANDY: Happy Birthday! Wow to be 24 again. That is WONDERFUL! ENJOY! And what a sweet hubby. Shopping, really???? BRENDA: Happy Anniversary! 20 years. That is SO GREAT! CONGRATULATIONS! LAURA: Wow! The Great Strides fund raiser was awesome! Wow! WOW!!!! Thanks so much. My brother who is a tennis pro is playing in a CF tourny in October and I am playing in one in December. JENNIE: How is the poop, puke with Mallory, puke with the baby, etc???? Anytime you need to talk, just write. My youngest two had severe reflux. So if you need anything, let me know. Also, we live in Florence, the NW corner of the AL, only a couple of hours from Chattanooga. I have a good friend that lives outside of Knoxville and my Dad is retired from TVA so used to make frequent trips up there. Hope you holiday is going well!!! Also, I don't know if we met Kathy Bains. We were admitted after the diagnosis and met lots but gosh I wish I remembered all names. The lady at the front of the office was real sweet too. I wish I could remember her name. Sandy Yester did our teaching and we loved her. Everybody was great. Have fun. TORSTEN: Do you mind me asking about the articles. Do you mean that pseudomonous might be more likely if you get staph too much or if they treat it too much? Maybe just a dumb question, I am just curious. I just talked to the ENT about a little of this today and my wheels are turning. Thanks.
