Guest guest
I'm looking at the paperwork that comes with the Rx (was prescribed via local doctor) - it says Armour thyroid 30MG and I am to take 3 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. So from what you're saying I'm actually on a very small doseage. That could be why I'm not feeling much different. Hmmmm, maybe I need to increase the doseage ..... *************************** 1 grain is 60 mg...you mentioned that you are on 30 and hopefully that is so since you are taking 5 of them....big difference between taking 150 mg a day and 300 mg....if in fact they are 60 mg tabs you probably should back down on them....what does the bottle say and are they generic or real Armour??.....did you buy them or were they prescribed??.....sue
Guest guest
it says 3 in the morning. That is 90 mg or 1 1/2 grains, then in the afternoon, 1 grain or 2 pills from what you write. That is 2 1/2 grains, not a small dose but quite a bit to get used to al at once. Don't up it any more than that till you are on it for at least 3 weeks in my humble opinion Re: Zeraslair--Correcting the LOW IRON/Armour doseage I'm looking at the paperwork that comes with the Rx (was prescribed via local doctor) - it says Armour thyroid 30MG and I am to take 3 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Guest guest
EEK, NO!! You are NOT on a low dose. You are on quite a HIGH dose for someone who is just starting out!! Stay right where you are, and give yourself time for the T4 to show it's conversion results, which can take up to 5 weeks!
