Guest guest
Ride a horse, dress in red and blow a horn? My father looked into this and was told to try lion dung (not something I would have lying around in the cupboard but apparently it's available in garden centres) but it didn't work for him. I can't remember if inserting empty plastic bottles into holes in the ground was to scare foxes or moles - I'll ask him! Needs to be pretty fresh dung to have the best effect. In fact any large cat will do. I know that Longleat and Whipsnade have both been willing to sell in the past - got a local zoo?? -- Helen Armfield
Guest guest
Moth balls work for cats, though as foxes are canin-ish (?) may not work. Cheap anyway! And will you really want to use fuel on dung at the moment??? Actually, fresh 'Big cat' dung doesn't usually smell that bad (if at all). Or maybe I'd just got used to after a week in their company?? -- Helen Armfield
