Yes thanks. My midwife assured me that she'd get to me somehow and if I

needed to transfer to hospital we'd have to call an ambulance. I actually

went and bought some petrol today - queued for 1h and got £20 worth (I know

I don't need a full tank). I can't belive how selfish some people are

being - 2 young guys in a BMW at the pump in front of me filled it to

capacity and then continued to fill 6 petrol cans too!!!! I told them they

were selfish b*****ds as I drove past.

Our local garage only lets you buy £10 worth per visit. Still has a 45 minute

queue though!

Sent DH out to Safeways to buy some Calpol this evening (Safeways being on the

other side of town from us, but the only place with a pharmacy open in the

evening) and was getting rather worried when he didn't return for 90 minutes.

Apparently their petrol station had had a delivery of petrol and there was a

massive queue just to get into the place, whether you wanted petrol or not.

IIRC it is illegal to store more than 3 gallons at home. I was going to say

I hoped it caught on fire but actually, I wouldn't wish that on my worst

enemy. Lets just hope they have holes in their cans and it all drains away.

Every cloud has a silver lining, too. Since The Crisis, the town my mum

lives in has been wonderfully peaceful each evening without the loons

driving their souped up bangers round in endless circles all the time!!

I'm sure you've all heard by now of the street of houses that are likely

to be demolished in Derby because someone was keeping 100 litres of

petrol in a wheelie bin in his living room. The fire brigade have

threatened to charge him 20,000 for the cost of the cleanup and now the

potential demolition due to petrol soaking into the foundations has been

announced.

Apologies to all who live in derby but INMSHO, the best thing that could

happen to Derby is for the whole place to be demolished!! I loathed it with

a vengeance, probably one of the unhappiest times of my life. The fact I

had PNd is immaterial! Best thing about it was jessop's of

Nottingham.......where I guess I may have seen Sue's mum, for all I know!
