Guest guest
I had to use a cushion when I was recovering from vulvar surgery. I tried a couple different kinds before realizing that the only time I was comfortable was while I was on the toilet LOL! So I had my husband go to Manards and pick me up one of those soft cushiony toilet seats and removed the lid and the hardwear. I used that toilet seat as a cushion for a whole month while I was recovering and it may be silly but it worked. That donut cushion is more designed for hemroids and hemroid surgery. The hole in the center just wasnt big enough. Bunny _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
I love it! I did the exact same thing, only I bought a cheap toilet seat and I could still feel the chair underneath - I was tired of spending so much money on cushions (like you, the hole was never big enough for me - I " cut " larger holes, did all kinds of wierd stuff). I bet if I'd tried a real cushy toilet seat it would have worked. Husband was so embarassed to have that toilet seat in the office ! I didn't have surgery but I work in my home office and have to sit a lot. We even moved in a summer lawn chair into the house but that didn't work either. I was getting ready to get a very expensive chair for my office when I found one of my old leather-like huge office chair in my basement. It works pretty good for me. The upholstery on my other office seats killed the butt and vulvar area. Last summer I bought the $1 swimming rings for kids which worked pretty well but they didn't last very long. > >
Guest guest
Yes, if I had had it to do over again, I would have purchaced the toilet seat ahead of time and a bag big enough to fit it;) The donut I originally purchaced fit into just about any tote I had, but the toilet seat was too big. I never thought to use a pillowcase. Great idea:) From: taurusrc@... I can carry it around in a plastic bag and no one knows what is in the bag. When you want to sit you just pull it out and sit. Guest guest
Hi ora, my weight category is medium, but they say that someone may have to try out a couple of pillows to find the best one. Did you try more than one? thanks, >From: taurusrc@... >Reply-To: VulvarDisorders >To: VulvarDisorders >Subject: Re: cushion >Date: Sun, 26 Feb 2006 11:33:29 -0800 > >Mine is shown at: > >http://icnshop.com/cgi-bin/ustorekeeper.pl?command=goto & file=DailyComfort-Chair\ Cushions.html & rtn=cpcom > >I use the extra firm one. > >But I may get one of the soft toilet seat ones because I hope it would work >better. > >Ora > > > >On Sun, 26 Feb 2006 11:19:58 -0800, " Chaput " >wrote: > > >what type of cushion do you have? > >
Guest guest
Yes, I got one in the medium but it was too soft so I ordered another one (extra firm) and it works fine. My weight category is also medium but I am pear shaped so most of my weight is below my waist. Also I cut a slit down the middle from front to back because the fabric stretched too tightly over the cushion and it was like sitting on a regular chair until I made a groove. Looks a little crazy but it works well. I have had several cushions over the years but that is my latest one.
