Guest guest
Jeannie - When you say that you were turned down for disability were you referring to SSDI? If so, please know that they almost always turn folks down the first time. ou will need to get a lawyer involved to help you through the process (Many agree to take on a case for a small retainer or else even a percentage of your financial gain from the case.) Re medical treatment, go to your nearest hospital and ask to fill out the paperwork for pro bono care. Every hospital that receives federal monies is required to provide free or reduced fee treatment to those who cannot afford to pay. My best to you. Guest guest
Welcome to the group even though it is in such horrible a situation. I read your post and you are an exact double of me, but I have been able to keep my job, but have had horrible experiences with it. I am fighting the company's short term disability folks right now, but got the news that all in my office are backing me, and the center director is calling to ask them what the hell they were thinking. This group is a fabulous group of people that were brought together under bad circumstances, but I assure you, if anyone can help you in any way, it will be members of this group. Just ask and we will assist. Guest guest
Welcome Jeannie, I can sympathize with your situation. I too got RSD following a surgery to my R arm. It is SO hard to do things with one hand, but I learned. Physical therapy really helped me. If you can find a way to get some, I highly recommend it! -Sharon C., NY
Guest guest
Welcome Jeannie. Sounds like you're having a really difficult time. You don't mention what state you're in, but there are always state agencies to help you through the difficult times. And, there are Attorneys in every state that are familiar with RSD, we just have to find you one. Let us know where you are, and hopefully, one of us will be able to help you through all of this. Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
Jeannie, I'm so sorry you're having so much trouble. I don't know what state you're in, but I live in Tx. & I finally contacted my local congressmans office & got help getting my disability.I actually got disability & my deceased husbands social security within 3 months of contacting them. My disability was based on the RSD alone, so I know they are recoginizing it as disabiling. Just remember, if God brings you to it, He'll bring you through it. I've had rsd since 1998 & it started with carpal tunnel surgery. My prayers are with you .Have soft times & I'll be praying for you. love, crazyformytim wrote: Hi, My name is Jeannie I am new here.
