I don't think it's anything for concern, though. It's a storage hormone. Concerning the free T3 in July--did you take your meds before the test in July and not in May?? Or have you simply upped your meds enough to get that 4?? And.....have you noticed ANY improvement between May and now? You really have a good free T3 reading and it doesn't match how you feel. Have you ever had your Ferritin tested?? A low Ferritin can give you the exact same issues you describe. If your Ferritin is great, then you could be the type of person who needs a high T3 in order to feel good. Guest guest
Fasting both times. Had my ferritin tested way back in Feb. It was fine. I'm doing much better than in Feb when I started Armour. And a little better than in May. I have also been doing adrenal support (Isocort) since Feb. I think I'm on the right track, docs around here just dont' understand the armour thing and certainly not the large doses. They go by tsh only and mine is too low according to them. I can't wait to see Dr. Milton in Aug. Thanks for the imput. Blessings, Debbie K. Re: DK's Labs - Comments appreciated >Please tell me what you think of the labs. Guest guest
I think the T3 is really good too. I am doing much much better since starting Armour in Feb. I will repost my progress in case anyone is interested. And I feel some better than in May, however, I am not yet my old self yet and that's my goal. I'm also wondering if it could be a mind thing. Exercise has been so impossible for so long, maybe I should give it more effort. I am going out of town again (Thurs - Sun) and am scheduled for the lumpectomy on Tuesday. Maybe after that, I can try again. Also, maybe it's an adrenal thing. I've been doing the Isocort. I have some Deltacortil that I started my daughter on so maybe I should try that. I see Dr. Milton in three weeks so maybe he can get to the bottom of it. Thanks to all of you for your imput. Guest guest
are you on estrogen? What was your ferritin level when you took it in Feb and the range? Do you take calcium? DK's Labs - Comments appreciated Hi all, Saw the doc today and got my labs. Results are below along with a percentage calculation that tells me where I fall in the range. I came up with this to put everything on an even keel, so to speak. With everything have different ranges and most times even the same things have different ranges from test to test, the percentage scale lets me see at a glance where I am. It's not a complicated calculation, but I have it on excel if anyone is interested. Or I can tell you how I did it. Just let me know. Please tell me what you think of the labs. I am posting the May labs if you need them for comparison. I am doing pretty good, but am not where I want to be. Mostly, I still lack energy and the thought of exercising is depressing. Exercise doesn't make me feel better, it only creates a need for a nap. Also, can't seem to stay on track and get things done. I don't understand why the FT3 has gone up, but not the FT4. Any ideas? Doc also did Lipid panel (cholesterol) Hepatic Function Panel (?) and Basic metabolic panel. Everything was fine. Interesting note is that before Armour, I was on Lipitor for cholesterol but have not needed any since starting Armour in Feb. 5/27/2004 Value Range % TSH 0.234 0.49 - 4.67 -6% FT4 0.91 0.71 - 1.85 18% FT3 2.11 1.45 - 3.48 33% 7/20/2004 Value Range % TSH 0.26 0.25 - 4.5 0% FT4 0.92 0.71 - 1.85 18% FT3 4 2.3 - 4.2 89% I am anxious to see what you guys say.
