recently someone posted a link to an article written by an infectious disease

specialist

about diagnosing a rare yeast. i was looking through the archives to find it,

but i couldn't.

can someone remind me of it or connect me to the message?

what does an infectious disease specialist do different from a gynecologist?

That was me. The link is www.pubmed/gov ... it is an article by Dr. Jack Sobel "Treatments of Torulopsis Glabrata Vaginitis: Retrospective review of Boric Acid Therapy.

I am not sure what the exact diff. is. I was referred to Dr. Sobel by my gyn who felt that he did not have enough knowledge to treat my chonic infections. He said the Dr. Sobel specializes in the study of bacteria. Sobel is a hard man to see. I can't get in until the end of July. I hope he is worth the wait!
