Wasn't it Sherry who spent less than a day working in the candy place? And did I ever tell you about how I came to work at Central? Well, I was really burnt out on my prior job, kind of like I am now in this one. Well, I applied for a secretary job in the financial aid office at Central and interviewed. They told me that I did an excellent job, but they were hiring a Central grad. Well, can't blame them for that, it was a good reason to hire someone else (kinda like the other person knowing the computer system). Well, six months later, that person's husband got a job transfer out of state. I called to see if they could just reactivate my application as I was still interested, and they offered me the job right then and there. No second interview, nothing. Two years later I was working on completing my degree and was named assistant director, the next year I completed my degree and the director quit due to health problems. I applied for and got the director's job. Now, I wish I was still assistant director some days, but things worked out at the time.
