36 wk check up

Dear Friends and Family

Well, the other day I had my 36 wk check up (actually, its more like 36.5)

and an ultrasound.

First thing they tell me is they have been trying to get ahold of me for

MONTHS to reschedule my appt. because the doctor is not in today......YAH

right! Like I didnt just see the dr 2 wks ago and dont I stay home all day,

HOW HARD IS IT TO CALL SOMEONE??? ha ha ha. They said I needed to reschedule

and I told them I wanted to see ANYONE today and see how things were

going.....the let me see the midwife and she did the group B strep test and

internal exam. I will get the GBS results next week and the internal was not

as optimistic as I wanted to hear (like you are fully dialated and its time

to push!) she said my cervix is high and tight....meaning CLOSED OFF, no

baby coming today or anytime soon. BOO HOO. I guess Im in for a few more

weeks, but praying very hard that I open up and start dialating sometime

soon. She also said the baby's head is at -3 station which means 3 stations

from being at my cervix. After 0 you go to +1 and so on.....until +4 is

crowning, having the head come out.........ahhhh, ouch....hurt hurt hurt.

The ultrasound went great and the baby was moving like mad. The baby was

head down, yahoooooo but face up, which means back back labor for me if he

does not turn over. He is still a BOY and we got great shots of his parts to

make sure. She estimated he is weighing about 6 pounds 5 ounces at this

point so Im having another big baby if I hold out for another 4-5 wks.

SCAREY! Especially if it has a head like

his father.

Personally Im still doing good here. Eating eating and more eating is all I

want to do. I dont think I have gained any weight yet and probably wont at

this point since the baby is gaining about 1/2 pound or more a week. I do

have more stretch marks and they itch like crazy.

This week marks me making it to full term, even though my due date is not

until the end of March, anything past 37 wks is ready to go......PRAY I GO!!

Eerik and Chloe' are ready too.......we got everything set up around the

house, furniture rearranged, baby stuff up and clean sheets for my water to

break on......ha ha ha. I told Eerik if that doesnt jinx me into labor

nothing will.

I go for my next appt on Tues. 3/13 so I will report back then.
