Guest guest
Hope did not cut to much off to cause the conversation to not make sense....I absolutely cannot get through the emails unless want big time flare so trying to answer few now and save few others for later but when had my birthday in October my doctor sent me for first time a permant handicapped and I was so ashamed...as if I was some sort of person to abuse the system, that I was some gross looking and acting person that is now unable to be anything but disabled and all know it now. Know this is Ego and not the most proper nor needed reaction and would be very upset if was this way. But just seems it took me some time to adjust to this idea. I still do not accept this a fact, take it as doctors opinion at this point in time but being no-one knows just what will happen in medicine the next day, so I believe I have more chance to be healed by this and the other problems have than to stay handicapped. Know others might disagree but that is okay, this is my way of believing and truly believe it. So I believe my tag is just temporary till find out cause and how to correct it. Just my stepping in......and Hello to all the New people on this digest. Truly am sorry you have the need to be here but being that you have the need I am sure you will find each person worthy of trust and know you each will be loved and cared for. s Momma JoAnn Re: Re: Handicapped placard - Why did he give me a permanent sticker, Lori, surprise when I was told it was a permanent Lin
Guest guest
Lin, I hear what you are saying. Sometimes I try and do something, go shopping or whatever and tell myself I can try and do this and it will be ok. Then not 15 minutes into it I'm wondering what I was thinking and end up not having a good time from the pain, come back home and just get back to bed. I'm sorry that you had a flare up and hope you relaxed some now and are feeling a bit better. Lori
Guest guest
Tonia Permanent is also meant permanent here in Utah too.. no expiration date or letters from my Dr's even when I changed Dr's the plac and the license plate stay permanent... thank goodness.. Now when I had to get my drivers license renewed I had to list my medications on the renewal form and when they seen that I had to have a letter written by my Dr. saying that I was ok to drive... Has anyone ever had to have this done? with the DLD before? hugs Jeanne %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Knowing is not enough: We must apply! Willing is not enough: We must do! taken from the pain advocacy group : words by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe Pain Free Days and Nights! RSD in my vocabulary means fight for what is right! If it means fight our Dr's or Pharmacy's.
