heavy whipping cream (35% milk fat) has 0.41 carbs per tablespoon (6.6 carbs

per cup). As the percentage of milk fat goes down, the carb count goes up -

milk has 12 carbs per cup. If you do a search on cream on the USDA web site

you can figure out the actual counts for whatever you use. (I use 18%

coffee cream in my tea at home, but at school, the highest I can get is 10%

half and half so I enter in each different type in www.fitday.com and make

sure I'm adding things up properly).

If you can find creams without the additives, those are the best, but if you

can't, concentrate on finding a cream without sugar added (dextrose

usually) - the vegetable gums and gelatine are to help it whip up and my

understanding is that they don't have much impact on the carb content, but

many dairies add some sugar as well, and that's not good!
