Guest guest
Hey, Brat, my Brat, How are you today? I am better, again, but did have a potty princess morning. Imodium AD is my best friend! hahahaha. Randy had a scout camp out and had to leave early this morning. Reesey and I took the van in for an oil change, etc. It was a freebie from last winter when I had a tune up done on the van, and they messed up the first time and it had to go back. To apologize, they gave me a card for a free oil change and lube. Sure was nice to get it done and no charge. What a gift. Also, received the rent from the summer theater intern who is staying in the shack in the backyard. So, we can now afford to replace our old TV without a remote. The boys want something spectacular, of course, but I just want a basic color TV with remote that works. We already have VCR and DVD players, so don't need anything else in my book. I know, I wasn't going to take another intern after last year's fiasco, but my old friend who does the housing stuff was desperate for housing for a late hire, so I gave in. He's really very quiet, neat, and not demanding, and is quite happy to camp out in the back of the house. He comes in to use kitchen and bath, but works six days a week, so is almost never around to bother anyone. Perfect tenant. LOL It pays $600 for the summer, doesn't cost me anything but a little more water and power, and we can afford that new TV. So, it works for me. Gotta go and put my swollen feet up again. I retain so much water that I can drop twenty pounds overnight when I take a water pill. The trouble is, it also gives me the runs, then have to take Imodium AD, then start the whole cycle again. Don't you LOVE lupus? NOT!!!! Love, MM
Guest guest
LOL! A tv with no remote? And you can live?? When the one in the livingroom is missing you would think hte world had ended! The house is torn apart until it is found! And there is no way you can change channels or anything with your finger! It's just not done! I laugh watching Adam look for it. He is worse than . I need to get an oil change on my car too. I have to get it inspected next week. Really should put my new registration sticker on too before the end of the month! I keep forgetting about that! I wish I could get rid of 20 pounds over night. But I don't want to join the potty races! I'll just cheer for those of you racing! GOOOOOO Mike! And what is up with those two who think they are angels??? Somebody slip them some goofy pills? We all know that I'm the innocent one! Re: Mike Hey, Brat, my Brat, How are you today? Guest guest
- - I OFFERED you a real halo of your own, but you went and messed it up for yourself. I think you'd best be nice to both a C and I. Hers isn't a totally real halo, but super close. Side by side you'd never know long as she put a good shine to hers first. Hugs - a B. > LOL! A tv with no remote? And you can live?? Guest guest
a B., and all, I think that the " silly stuff " we banter about puts us in touch with the children inside of each of us. That little person who BELIEVED in fairies when the fireflies came out at night, and KNEW that warts were caused by toads. You know? Being silly, in our little anonymous way, feels safe, makes us giggle, and in a kind of funny way, keeps us sane. So, being silly is allowed. It is, in fact, good for us. Loving hugs, MM
Guest guest
Yer right Barb, it's most certainly 'stupid talk.' I've already told you all this, so try and be patient this second time through. When I first joined the group I just knew I would learn all this great stuff and be able to whine and be comforted. I was right!! Then I started reading all these posts that were totally nonsence..all the jokes and stuff..and I started thinking about leaving the group. I sent a personal E-mail to one of the members who wrote me back about the importance of humor, letting off steam, being silly when we hurt. Yep, it's 'stupid talk' but some how it makes me feel better. Why is that??? Hugs - a B. I gotta tell you guys, this stupid talk is what has gotten me threw this past week. I need to laugh and you guys are my support group and that is the support that I needed. right? a C

Guest guest
Yep! I followed the "halo" posts eagerly. We all need a little comic relief amid all the problems... And the short witty posts were so much fun! Please keep sharing your light hearted banter... It's Great! Deb Yes Deb, it was fun, but sadly I have to report an incident of a B conking me on my head with rocks and our flying practice. She is a very bad angel sometimes! a C
