Guest guest
Good Afternoon All, First of all to Tonia, I am so very sorry to hear about the fall that you took on Friday. I hope that your pain will be better soon. As for you offering to be tested for me to have a kidney number one, you bought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much but, I would never want to put anyone through that and especially someone that is already in pain but, it meant more than I can say that you would even offer such a thing. Well, my Urologist won't discuss a transplant yet. He is a wonderful human being but, an optimist and he tells me that until the kidney function gets down to about 10%, we won't even discuss it as that is when the Insurance will allow this to be done and he can keep me relatively comfortable until then. He is so great. I trust him with my whole heart and soul. He is my security blanket. Thank you again though, that was such an overwhelming thing to offer and it just shows to me, the kind of person I knew you were to start with . Hi Mark, I sure hope that your pain is a bit better today. Thank you so much for this site about the firewall for the Instant Messanger. I will check into it as I have had a Hacker on my machine before and this person has been a real pain. You are right, sometimes even though a child jumping into your arms when you are already in pain may be very tough to take, it can also be the best medicine. It has been so nice since I have been back, getting to know you. Hi , it is ok. I was wondering where you were yesterday lol but, I am just so glad that you are ok, it doesn't matter. I hope you had a nice day though. I will talk to you soon. Hi Barbara, it is great to see you posting again. I will agree with whomever was just talking about your attitude. It really is great to hear someone so positive and upbeat about their Doctors. You are right too, it helps to have a good Doctor or Doctors. Have a great rest of the day. Hi JoAnne, I hope that you are having a nice day today. It has finally decided to warm up here in land. It won't last though as tomorrow, we are expecting snow showers. I suppose we will take what comes and do the best we can. Well, everyone I have talked long enough. Thank you all for brightening up my day today. I wish each and every one of you, a very Happy Monday. Sincerely, Dawn

Guest guest
The only exception that I can see to the "two rule" is daffodils. Really could get into to see a whole mess of them now that I hear we have 12 - 18 inches of the white stuff coming our way. Barbara, We're getting the mess right after you. I am NOT looking forward to this again. I did look outside my office windows earlier, and the daffodils are actually up and bloomed! The flower beds are right outside full length windows, and in full sun all day (whenever it decides to be sunny here..) and it is quite warm. They always come up early. To top it all off, my hibiscus tree decided to have two great big blooms today. No one told the plants about the weather, or they decided I needed to be cheered up. Stay warm, dry and safe on the roads! Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
Hey, Dawn. You can have one of my kidneys too. Two of anything is just too much. I've never understood why some folks insist on having two pair of black pants and twelve white shirts. The only exception that I can see to the "two rule" is daffodils. Really could get into to see a whole mess of them now that I hear we have 12 - 18 inches of the white stuff coming our way. Groan. Hmmm....seems like snow should follow the "two rule" too. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I wish there was a magic answer to weight control. I had put on thirty pounds in 8 weeks being stuck in the hospital and then at home with a bone infection and on IV's for 8 weeks. And no exercise allowed. That was back in spring/summer of 2001 and I still haven't lost an ounce. I do have a recumbent exercycle that I have set up in front of the computer and a TV set in the room. I used to do three hours a day, religiously. However, then my legs went and my feet slam out of the stirrups onto the ground, really hurts and have slowed down tremendously. I still do it five days a week but not for three hours but would like to get back up to that eventually. I also ride my horse when I can and that is about the only thing keeping my leg muscles somewhat still in existence. I also lost 780 pounds in six months by having the RSD in my Gall Bladder. I couldn't stand the smell of food or the thought of eating, not even chocolate or pistachio nuts, my all time favorite food. I lived on Tomato Juice and Teddy Grahams and WOW cheddar and sour cream potato chips. I wish my taste buds hadn't woken up when they did or would shut down again for a few more months but if I could control my body by wishing I wouldn't belong on this list. LOL If there are enough of us that want to lose weight maybe we could set up a chat/weight loss group to support each other. Felice
Guest guest
Jo - Hoping that those flowers make it through. I'd give my eyetooth to see Spring right about now. Guest guest
Me too....I can only lose weight when I'm pregnant! Once I have the kid, it all comes right back. As you can tell, my body does things backwards!! lol My gallbladder....it hurt the LEFT side! It took them a month to figure out that it was my gallbladder.... ugh. I just need to lose about 50lbs, and I'd be a happy camper! Tonia Just no one say that I need to get rid of the Dr. Pepper!! Those are fighting words!! lmao -- Re: Digest Number 1930 If there are enough of us that want to lose weight maybe we could set up a chat/weight loss group to support each other. Anyway, he said he had studied with DR Kirkpatrick in Tampa and he knew RSD and that DR Kirkpatrick would never give me narcotics for RSD either. this is so not true. dr kirkpatrick tries to use other meds first but if there is no relief he will recommend the use of narcotics. i have met many patients in his waiting room who are on varying doses of nacotics. also it depends upon whether you have another disease along with the rsd. for myself, i only have rsd and my pain level was the same on narcotics as it is off narcotics. the only difference i note, is that i am more alert and able to do more research on rsd and florida work comp. he usually works with your local physician, family practice or internal medicine. he will not manage your pain directly unless you live in the tampa bay area for if something happens and you are admitted to your local hospital he doesn't like to do long-distance doctoring. this way your local physician is always in control and they have his cell phone/pager/answering service as do you. so any questions about care he will gladly answer. as a disabled rn i can understand him not wanting to take the word of a rn over the phone of our condition. considering this is the first time this nurse has ever heard of rsd and could care less about it. believe me i know the quality of a vast majority of the nurses in our local hospitals and i do not want to go there. yes we do have some good ones, but there are many who are just there for the check every other thursday. i have a great family physician who covers me for all my needs but admits most doctors never see a case of rsd in there careers my doc admits it, but most doc's will not admit this. when my local doc has a question, he calls dr. kirkpatrick in tampa for the answer. and that's it. i also have had some luck in work comp in that no local doc would take me so my personal family physician said he would be my work comp doc and it was approved. yah!! yah!! so**y so longLOL kathy t
