Guest guest
I do understand the temptation of ice cream, but you know, there are ice creams that are no sugar, and non fat that are actually pretty tasty. If you use them, you still get your fix, but are kinder to your body and health. I had an eating disorder and know what a hold food can have on a person. Please be careful...your health is worth more than that. There are ways now to 'cheat' without cheating because of advances in foods/products for us. Be well, hang in there. You'll find what works best for you...takes a bit of time tho. Tam
Guest guest
Sounds great, Ressy... I'll have to try that. I did try the low carb vanilla in sugar-free rootbeer and concluded that I like plain cream in the rootbeer better. It was too sweet, but I'll bet the icecream in the low carb chocolate milk is good... I like the low carb chocolate milk, but I put just a T of cream in it, as it's way too sweet to me. Sandy I have been having the best chocolate milk shakes...the low carb vanilla ice cream..3 carbs per 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup the chocolate low carb milk...in the blender and viola...for about 5 carbs I have a nice portion of a great tasting milk shake...and no headache...<grin>
Guest guest
BTW as an expert taster of ice cream and very picky, I noninate Breyers CarbSmart Butter Pecan ice cream as it really tastes good. I don't like the other brands. Yes, I tasted Edy's, and it didn't even taste like butter pecan. Love the Breyer's CarbSmart Butter Pecan ice cream! :-) Sandy
Guest guest
Our son, who is also diabetic, came to visit with his wife for a week, so we wanted lots of sugar-free snacks on hand, that would also appeal to someone who is non diabetic. They both enjoyed them... we had all the CarbSmart products -- ice cream bars, Dream Cicles, ice cream sandwiches, etc., sugar-free 's rootbeer, as well as lots of different kinds of nuts.
