Guest guest
Hi, well i,m glad you like the sounds of christchurch NZ. Its a typicxal day here sunny with a slight brezze. Our summer is just starting.I dont know how your tempretures work but our highest in summer is about 38 degrees celcious. Our lowest is around minus 4. we get a wind here called the Nor Wester. Its very strong hot dry wind. Its called the migrane wind, but the days are real swimming pool days. Summers in Christchurch are exceptional.Winters are cruel but not as bad as places that that are snowed in Christchurch gets about 3 days a year with very heavey snow falls. You asked re vicki and tempretures. Vicki finds the cold hard she cant tell if she has frozen cold feet.Often so black from the cold and has no idea. The real hot summers are not so great re sweating and skin infections. We tried her swin suit on and in one month lost 5 kgs of weight yet she is eating more. The doctor has got her eating 1 chocolate bar a dayn for help put some body fat on her.As she has none. vicki went to church for 2 hours today then went for short walk around some gardens thisafternoon and is now totally white as a sheet and very groggy did to much but shes happy she got out. Its amazing how many people has lost babies. Its seems a thing not talked about but when one mentions it its scary how many of us have lost a precious bundle of joy. Take care and thankyou for the kinds words. Photos are still coming gwetting my husband to get motivated is not so easy when hes never home.May damm well learn to scan by myself, lol bye for now lois and vicki in New ZealandJoAnn wrote: WOW LOIS, THAT WAS THE MOST DESCRIPTIVE WORDS FOR WHERE YOU LIVE THAT I AM READY TO PACK AND MOVE. Guest guest
Lois - My nephew lived in southernmost NZ on a sheep farm for a year for the year in between his graduating from high school and going to college. He delivered many many lambs and it helped to shape his career plans. He absolutely loved it.....the land, the culture and the people He has stayed in monthly phone contact (and more frequently by letter) with his sponsor family. In fact, our family has had a total of three border collies from their brrod (one that my nephew brought back with him and two pups that the family sent to us this Fall). We're converts! He will be returning later this wintter (ours, not yours) as one of his college graduation gifts. You have a beautiful country and will always have a warm place in my heart for how warmly the people of your country welcomed my dear nephew and helped him grow.
