First, to add to what others have said about OT and Apraxia - make

sure the OT doing the evaluation is familiar with Apraxia (as well

as the OT working with your child). Just like with speech therapy,

the standard approach for all kids does NOT usually work with our

kiddos.

With that being said - is there somewhere posted that helps spell

out some specific techniques to help kids with Apraxia with self-

help and fine motor? I know this sounds vague - the kind of issues

we are seeing in these areas are perpetually holding the scissor

upside down, waving backwards, can't take own shirt off (and we've

run many many many programs for him for shirt off - in fact for all

dressing) - that kind of stuff. I know repetition, repetition,

repetition is the key to success - I'm just wondering if we keep

missing a step for him.
