Guest guest
Tonia about the bruises I find that if there is a corner to turn, a chair to bump into, a cabinet/dresser to bump into will do so. I really wonder am I alone on this???? I just cannot walk past something without saying hello by stumbing a toe or hitting my leg on it or if doorway and going through it feel like an arm needs to greet it for some unknown reason. Truly do not care to speak to all walls, doorways and furniture but seems my body takes over and find marks all over from the unwelcomed by me greetings. Please Tonia tell me you do the same as just do not want to be only one greating all objects. Other thing about Fibro is for myself is all of body, feels like Jo said deep deep bruises, plus for myself is constant inflamation, twisting of muscles, ligaments and tendons, they are either inflammed or in spasms or knotted so tight if was a guy flexing my arm with that kind of knot would impress the girls just fine. But not a guy which think my husband is glad of, and I personally am not pleased with knots all over me. Seems injections are only thing that helps with swelling. Also one more point on Fibro is since have had this nearly 20 years and been at doctors with it for now about 13 years, find it is an on going progressive problem at least for me. Now I know part of or all that caused mine so perhaps mine is somewhat different although after the rsd hit me the Fibro did find another level that could hurt more. And many talk about how tired they are, that for myself was Fibro and my doctor says I have Chronic Fatigue for many years now. Also immune system low and Arthritis came with this right away, or within the year started. I got this very young so arthritis was not like some women have when hormones change. Take care all and thank you all for advise about my son and type of doctor to see. I will be with him most likely next week so will talk to him more about it. Do think all of you are each just so special and days would be harder without the advise and caring that I have come to believe will be available when needed. Thanks! s Momma JoAnn
Guest guest
Lori glad not alone in finding each and every thing can bump into, hit my head on, make many bruises on legs and arms and find it is just a daily thing and happens so many times each day. Hope you and I are not alone on this one. About Magnet Therapy, for me I have a Pace Maker and cannot even have a purse etc with magnet so wonder if you have SCS or Pump if the Magnet might not cause problem. If you have either SCS or Pump or anything like that before tried any Magnet would ask the company about it as it can cause great damage to you if use something that messes up the implanted Pace Maker etc. Just how it is with me so want to let you know. Have no idea about SCS, etc. so you will have to choose whether to ask just that I would do so. Take care my friend and sorry you are struggling so. Is really hard I know and being alone in town make things harder. Write me anytime, I am here for you. s Momma JoAnn Re: About Being so tired and bruises JoAnn, You are not alone in bumping into everything. I do that all the time, even sometimes I'm walking and kind of lose my balance and bang into the wall...lol. Also, I don't know if this is from the RSD or the Raynauds or meds, but my hands are always shaky and I seem to have no grip anymore. I drop things Constantly, and my fingers like twitch, kind of like a spasm. I smoke so when I'm holding a cigarette, many times my fingers twitch and the cig goes flying out of my hand. I don't know if this is just me or not...? I have a question for everyone and I know I"m behind on mails but will catch up this weekend. My Boss's Aunt does this Magnet Therapy, and I'm wondering if anyone has tried this? The Aunt wrote me a letter and says after 19 years of chronic pain and fatigue due to severe Fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel in both hands, swelling, migraines, etc...that after 5 nights on the entire system, she felt better. She said her condition improved 80% and is truly free of pain and discomfort. <hugs> Lori
Guest guest
Lori, I would side on caution re; magnet therapy. I used it on my feet no usefull relief of pain. I agree with Jo any pumps the magnet would cause them to fault out. Take care Hoping you have some sun shinning days. I think you do already. Guest guest
JoAnn, The woman who gave me the different pieces to try did mention the Pace Maker issue, but I don't have anything in me at the moment. However, I think I wrote a little about this already but don't remember...lol...the magnets were just horrible. For some reason they made the pain so much worse. The lady told me that it was going to get worse before it got better, but I can't handle it, it is not worth it to me. I need to be able to get up and do my job, so I don't really have the luxury of getting through the additional pain. I guess they work for some people but not for everyone...I was really hoping they would give me some relief. Oh well, the good thing is I got to try them before buying them thankfully! I'm just trying to get through the days which not to complain but is getting more and more difficult. <sigh> I hope you are doing well, I can't wait to catch up with everything! Big hugs to you...miss you so much. <hugs> Lori
Guest guest
Laurie, I'm with you on the magnet therapy - was awful for me, made the pain even worse. I only tried it for my boss really - he was so excited that it would help me, I couldn't refuse to give it a shot. But I stopped using it almost immediately, it just was not worth it.
