Writing a complaint letter

I apologize if this is in the archives but I'm not sure what else to

do a search on other than 'complaint letter' . . . I'm searching

for an example of a letter of complaint. I've decided to go ahead

and try to get this negatively written report wiped from my son's

file with the Children's development services but I'm just going

blank at how it should be written! I want to do it correctly so

that they can't say, " No " due to something that I wrote or didn't

write. If I could read an example I hope it would help me get

started. My fear is creating writer's block!

Thank you for all your help!

,

I can't help you with the " archived " letter, but... I would

recommend looking at 's book, " From Emotions to

Advocacy " or his website for the book www.fetaweb.com. I don't know

if you're familiar with his books ( " slaw " is the other one)

but they are excellent sources of information re: special education

law. The " From Emotions.. " book has a recommended format for a

variety of letters. Check your library or Parent Resource Center

for copies of the books. You can also find them in larger

bookstores or on Amazon.com.

Hope this helps a little. Good luck,

Deana
