Guest guest
Mark, Who ever is telling you that needs to be brought up to date. Send them the SS stuff, tell them if the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT says it's a disease, it is. I cannot believe the ignorance (and arrogance) of some people. Guest guest
Aren't those consulting physicians just wonderful, that is the reason I had to go for that full body scan. I'm not sure what is in my report, I'll find out Monday. I wander what journals they have been reading, one from the 1800's, wow what an awful thing to say, how about if he gets this then someone can tell him the same thing and see if he likes it. Mark hang in there, we are all here for you, don't give up. Even my supervisor was telling them how bad a shape I was in, and they sat there on the telephone telling me that I had no problem. Even went so far as to say that there are doctors that just put a title after their names to make them sound special. Said that CRPS is not recognized in a "reputable" medical reference guide. I have been awake since 1 AM, my arm is killing me, and I am just so tired of being told that I don't have a problem..FOr those of you that pray, please say an extra prayer for me..I need it
Guest guest
> What a wonderful way to start the day. I was just told by my > company's short term disability folks that what we suffer from does > not exist. They had a consulting physician that said none of this > has been documented in medical journals and the only way through it > is to suck in your gut and live with the pain. > OMG!! Guess it's time to do a mass mailing of all RSD websites and medical journal articles to ALL physicians....particularly those in work comp, occupational medicine, IME physicians and specialists, physiatrists, neurologists, ER docs, " pain specialists " (oh, I know there are excellent ones out there, but for every good one there are double or triple the number who say RSD doesn't exist!), etc., etc. While we're at it, let's include PTs and other therapists who think ice and hard work will conquer all. Then there are the case managers, short and long term disability folks and the insurance industry who control the world. Lawyers? - yep, let's add them. After all this is said, I know the medical, insurance and legal establishments won't read these articles because they don't believe RSD exists. S*rry, I'm just angry and frustrated with the system and I don't even have RSD. I can't even imagine how angry and frustrated all of you are as your bodies and minds are subjected to such incompetance and ignorance. You are an incredible group of people who care and support each other no matter what. I respect each and every one of you beyond words!! I am honored to be a part of your group so I can continue helping my RSD family. My heart is with all of you. Sharon
