Overview Trigger point injection (TPI) is used to treat extremely painful areas of muscle. Normal muscle contracts and relaxes when it is active. A trigger point is a knot or tight, ropy band of muscle that forms when muscle fails to relax. The knot often can be felt under the skin and may twitch involuntarily when touched (called a jump sign). The trigger point can trap or irritate surrounding nerves and cause referred pain — pain felt in another part of the body. Scar tissue, loss of range of motion, and weakness may develop over time. TPI is used to alleviate myofascial pain syndrome (chronic pain involving tissue that surrounds muscle) that does not respond to other treatment, although there is some debate over its effectiveness. Many muscle groups, especially those in the arms, legs, lower back, and neck, are treated by this method. TPI also can be used to treat Fibromyalgia and tension headaches.

Thanks for the info , I was wondering what that was about. I was

wondering why the dr was tapping all over my arms and legs. Gee I wonder how

I did at faking him out? LOL! Must have been pretty good cause he upped the

meds and said he was very worried about my arms and wants to try the

injections. Anyway, I think you are right, the only people who need to

believe me are my husband and myself, plus my immediate family understands.

How are you doing? Did I read that you had a problem the other day? I dont

seem to be gettting all of the e-mails so if you did, I hope you are better.

YEAH, I HAD A WISDOM TOOTH PULLED ON MONDAY. AND IF THAT WASN'T BAD ENOUGH; I HAD A SEVERE REACTION TO THE NOVACAINE(SP) AFTER I GOT HOME. I COULDN'T BREATH! AND MY WHOLE FACE WAS SWOLLEN. I WAS ABLE TO CALL 911 AND GET HELP. STAYED OVERNIGHT IN THE HOSPITAL WHILE THEY TRIED TO GET MY BLOOD GASES BACK TO NORMAL. I HAVE HAD LOTS OF TEETH PULLED BEFORE AND NEVER HAD A REACTION. SO GO FIGURE.

ANYWAY ALL IS WELL NOW.

that sounds possitively awful! I am feeling sooo very much better. We

got a new baby to care for today! He is not going to be permanent because

they think there is a family member who can take him at some point. Either

that or we will keep him while his dad is in jail. Anyway he is 7months old

and his name is and he has huge blue eyes! Apparently someone didn't

know how to care for a baby though because he has been in foster care for one

month and weighs more than our baby Keyone who is 13 months. It is so sad to

see him so far overweight, but he is a cutie pie and I know that once he

starts chasing these kids around the house, it will get better for him. He

came with just one outfit and it was two sizes to small and had long sleaves.

Poor thing was just a mess. Thankfully I am shameless about buying clothes

for Keyone and they fit him (barely) sowe are covered for the moment. The two

babies just had us all laughing all afternoon and then our Justen pushed Josh

in his stroller while I pushed Keyone and we went for a long walk. Keyone

does NOT like this baby anywhere NEAR me, but he is working it out! Also,,,,

we have been waiting for Keyone to walk for so long, and last night he just

took off across the floor and did 14 steps!!!! Boy was there some cheering in

this house!! LOL! I just love these kids!

I BET THAT JOSHUA IS JUST ADORABLE! POOR THING. BUT I KNOW THAT HE WILL GET LOTS OF TLC, NOW THAT HE IS WITH YOU.

Sure does sound like Keyon is growing up so fast and I am sure he is so proud of his new accomplishment.

Great news on the new baby. Yes it is a shame that people let their babies get so overweight. I know years ago my ex-sister-in-laws grandson was 18 months old and weighed 90 pounds and I did not realize he was that heavy until I went to lift him up to put him in a car seat--Wow did I get a surprise and she used to carry him at times--How she managed it I will never know. Today, however, he is a normal sized child.

Hope Brittaney is doing good also.

Yes it is awsome! I guess God was protecting us from how fun these litte

babies where while we were taking the older ones. Now we are on to him!! We

are having the absolute best time of our lives. Keyone is so funny because

he doesn't think that baby should be touching his mommy. Poor is so

fat right now that he cant sit up by himself without help so he cant get away

very fast. I know that he will learn to fight back soon. Okay I am already

falling asleep typing so I better go!

You should have seen us all at Bridgets doctors appointment, we looked like a child caravan from room to room, we were quite the sight especially when people try to figure out which one of us belongs to who and since bridget is hispanic and Keyone is African American, and , and Justen are white it is too funny to see what peoples reactions are, of course they get so caught up in keyones cuteness and smiles that he wins over everyone he meets. I love my nieces and nephews : -)
