And his appetite got bigger...he was one of those who lost weight on it and was hungrier when off of it. But no real side effects other than that. He was on 150 mg twice a day and i was on 150 twice a day for a few months and then went down to once a day for about 4 months before stopping. I would suggest though that you get off of it when you have at least two days to sleep if you need to - it made me very sleepy. The Armour got rid of any low level depression I ever had...but when i took the Wellbutrin, I had a real situational thing going on which caused my depression and that's why I took it. Finally decided I didn't need it anymore..things had returned to normal in my life.

He has some wellbutrin from his ADHD days - but he won't take it. > Cris No it didn't help...it somehow made his determination and willpower to quit go away..lol...he began smoking at age 22 - long after we no longer thought it would be an issue! Now he's 30 and REALLY wants to, but has been searching for a time when his stress level isn't as much...right now, he's working at a parts counter at a cycle shop where they keep an ashtray on his counter - everyone stands there and smokes...during the school year while he's been teaching and taking his PhD classes and then the " comps " - tests to see if he can continue or is out on his ear before he write his dissertation - he was also waiting to have a less stressful time. He's tried Zyban twice, patches which made him nauseous, gum which made him jitfery, and just cold turkey..they say the average person tries 5 times before they succees..so all is not lost...I was looking at programs they have out now...the one is an injection of two things and you have to be given a physical and pronounced healthy by a doctor to take the shot - and it stops cravings dead...he is willing to do this - it scares me! So - we shall see. Another one is a 6 day seminar with lifetime support and is very intensive..but since it's an hour drive each wauy - I figure he will sit in the car and smoke! I am so glad i never started!
Guest guest
my son is 22 - he started at 20 - I can't believe he started at all since my mom is in such bad shape from smoking. He's worked places also that the only way to take a break is if you smoke - he won't try patches or anything. and amazingly, his girlfriend has no idea that he smokes. How dumb can she be!!! he smells like smoke! what can you tell me about this injection? sounds interesting! he wouldn't do it though. but maybe hubby - who chews - YUCK - thx!!
