Happy Thursday to all of you again. I hope you are

having a great day. Jo, thank you so much for the

information on our new pets LOL (the cicada's) but, in

reference to " remember the dogs eat them and get sick " they

have and YES they have. Oh Barbara, you are a RIOT.

You just make me looney every time you type to me. You see,

it is all your fault that I am this way and I thought it was

because of thirty seven years with my brain under water,

oops sorry that may not be funny but, please laugh all I am

only talking of me with that one . Barbara, Mother

entire tribe oops I mean family are from Clements. Her

maiden name was Guy. Oh, I will never ever forget the time

that we had the sink repairman over to fix a leak. He was a

wonderful human being. I just thought He was the nicest

person but, as with most people, once you come see us,

somehow your life is just somehow never quite right again

well, this man was African American and I swear He left here

Caucasion. LOL Now, why do you ask, while He was under the

sink my Mother was regailing him with Her entire life

story. She somehow feels like every one needs to know all

about her. Anyway, she casually said " Yes, I lived in St.

's County growing up and I use to be a Guy. " Well,

first of all the man cracked his head so hard on the end of

the door that I think the noise registered on the

sesmagraph. Then of course, He looked at me like HELP!!!!!!!

I wanted to tell him that was why I never really came out

right, but instead I told him " She really did not mean that

the way it came out. " Then of course, my Mother at the

time, being what I call, STUCK ON STUPID kept saying

WHAT????????????? I started to laugh and could not stop.

The man announced at that point the leak was fixed and that

He needed to go. Well, I wiped the tears from my face and

managed to get out the words, " Sir, my Mother Maiden name

was GUY. " Oh, that day is going down in the record books as

the " Dumbest thing my Mother ever said, so far. " Have a

great day everyone. BAHHHH to you too Barbara. Sincerely,

Dawn - I loved the story about your mom. Incredibly funny ! Now about the St. 's County link......I'm a genealogy buff so I've got both sides of my family traced back to the 1500's and 1600's. The ones from St. 's County (own....where St. 's Church and Cenetary is.....most of my relatives on my mother's side are buried there) include Dyer (your mother might know about the legend of Moll Dyer), Edelen, Bowling, Bolling, Boarman, and Mudd (Dr. Mudd - the doctor who was imprisoned for setting Wilkes Booth's leg after Lincoln's assassination. Hence the expression "Your name is Mudd / You're name will be Mudd"). In the book that I have on St. 's, I see entries for an Al Frnacis Guy, J.S. Guy, and and Agnes Guy (even a newspaper photo of here from a 1924 clipping. I wonder if they're your kin. Fun stuff. Sleep well. Barbara

Barbara,

I started doing the stuff for Gene's family tree like 2 years ago,

and had found someone else that was part of the family (that no one

knows...no one here has ever met this woman or any of her family

even)

But, she was doing the whole family too....and had the money to pay

for the on-line help.

Because of her, I was able to trace Gene's family clear back to

600A.D

The earliest part telling where the family originally lived was in

England, in the 1300's.

The main reason I had to do all of that, was because for one, I was

interested, but also because 2 years ago, my youngest nephew had to

trace the family tree for his school work, including finding the

Conyers' Family Crest. Now, THAT took me 3 weeks to find....it was

almost impossible!!!

Then, I found out that back then, the Conyers name was spelled

differently......duh.

Its really interesting though, to find out about the very

first " family members " and also to find out about what they did for

jobs or whatever, and how they died, how old, how many children

there was....the works.
