Guest guest
, Okay, here's the scoop on the new beau. We've been going together a little over 2 months. We had a blind date arranged by my mom and 2 of her friends that go to his church. While they were all in Texas for the winter, they cooked this up after I'd emailed mom about my quest and lack of success looking for a companion. Daryl is also 55, farms about 2000 acres of corn, soybeans, potatoes, carrots, onions, and sweet corn, and he lives about 30 miles North of me in Minnesota. He treats me like a queen, we never lack for conversation, and I'm having a blast! He also cooks, sends cards, and brings flowers sometimes. He will be my escort in July when I go to NIH, doesn't even notice my funny gait, nor does it matter to him. I think I'm going to try real hard to hang onto him! And................that's the rest of the story............ Hugs, Laurel Laurel's Beau? Laurel, Come on, spill the beans about your beau! You can't just slip in a mention of him at the end of an e-mail and expect to get off scot free...

I'm in tears....but they're for me....I want what you have. I'm older than you, but still looking. I know no one will look at this gimpy old lady, but I can dream. ENJOY! ENJOY! Guest guest
Laurel, I'm so happy for you I could just bust (Neal tells me that's a noun). I hope you end up as happy as I am in my second marriage. Seventeen years in April and more in love now than we've ever been. It just gets better 'n' better. Hope yours does too. You sure did keep it quiet. Vaughn
Guest guest
Hi Vaughn, Thank you for your blessing. I absolutely feel like the luckiest woman in the world. And, Daryl tells me he feels like he must be in Heaven. No one has ever been so kind and loving towards me. I hope to grow more in love also, and end up in 17 years just like you two! He is certainly a keeper! What also impresses me is how welcomed and at home I have been made to feel in his hometown of Hollandale, Minnesota. The people there have treated me wonderfully. I think this also speaks very highly for his status and reputation in the community. Being in love, and having someone special in my life again makes the PLS less bothersome for me. I kept things quiet for a few weeks because I really had my guard up for the first few weeks, and refused to allow myself to feel. Good thing Daryl persisted, and finally broke down the barrier. I love you all! Laurel Laurel's Beau? Laurel, I'm so happy for you I could just bust (Neal tells me that's a noun). I hope you end up as happy as I am in my second marriage.
