Guest guest
Sharon hon, Any of your doctors - any of them - are capable of writing a script, and should know anyhow what medications you take. Phone one of them and just ask for a script of what you need. Good luck, Love isha. -- Re: Doctor Doctor! GET THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM REALLY UPSET. I WAS GEARING UP FOR MY APPOINTMENT WITH MY NEW DOCTOR. THE OFFICE CALLED. " WE ONLY TAKE TWO NEW PATIENTS PER DAY AND WE HAVE FIVE WE NEED TO CHANGE YOU. " Ok now what do I do. Guest guest
Sharon, The MD's office can charge for copying your records. But, generally speaking, If you ask for a copy of the office notes and lab reports, xray report etc at the time of appt, they will make them right then as a courtesy. It really is easier on them, because they don't have to go back, pull the chart, figure out what you already have, etc. If you want the dictation-- then it would take longer-- but at least you can tell the next MD, this is what Dr. X found last week. -- Tracie is not a medical professional. I am a nice lady, with a love for gnomes. The info I share here is what I've learned on my journey, and should not be used to replace what your MD suggests you do. May your journey be gentle. Guest guest
.............I am from NY here..........never heard of that in my life, and flip out on the office staff until I got my copies for free!! LOL!! Hi, Stacie, sorry you had to find us. Sarc is not a fun disease. After having worked as Medical Admin for 16 years, I can tell you, that yes, offices do have the right to charge to copy records. Some will do it for free, some will not. Each state has its own rates that can be charged. In Calif. if I want xrays, cts, mris, I pay $15.00 per page thru UC Medical University. Most of the private offices I worked in, If a patient requested (politely) at the time of service, we would gladly copy a page or several w/o chg. It was easier that way, then to have to schedule personnel to stand and copy hundreds of pages of medical records. Those that went into pissy mode-- well, somehow that energy usually came back with a pretty good fuck em attitude. Guess you get back what you put out there. Anyhow, looking forward to getting to know you and learn your story, Tracie
