Guest guest
, My mom breastfed my sister for a few weeks and me for 6 months (1969) I think my mom was bottlefed and I think my grandmother was breastfed, but I am going to check. Wendi history question I have a question for everyone: How far back do you have to go in your family to find someone who breastfed? (for example, mother, grandmother) I I have been trying to find someone and I can't find anyone directly back, but I do have a great aunt who did. Even the two great grandmas I know about didn't. They used Eagle brand! I guess this explains the lack of support for me doing it! Just curious! and Emma (3/30/99) << File: ATT00000.htm >>

She now wishes she would have known more about it. history question I have a question for everyone: How far back do you have to go in your family to find someone who breastfed? Guest guest
,

I know that my father was breastfed for a year, but not his older brother. & nbsp; My mother and her brother were never breastfed. & nbsp; They also got & quot;sugar tits & quot; as my grandmother called them instead of pacifiers since they were & quot;too poor. & quot; A sugar tit by her definiton was a piece of cheese cloth with a sugar cube inside. & nbsp; She said some mothers dipped it in bourbon or rum when the babies were teething. & nbsp; She didnt' seem to indicate that this was something I shouldn't be doing today, just that I could afford pacifiers. & nbsp; Odd. & nbsp; My husband and his two siblings weren't breastfed. & nbsp; His dad was the last of seven children and he breastfed for a few months and & quot;almost died & quot; because his mother didn't have & quot;enough milk. & quot; & nbsp; They were extremely poor when he was an infant, and I would think that it had something to do with her not getting much to eat, plus having to deal with so many children. & nbsp; I can only get his information from this since she is dead. & nbsp; My husband's mother wasn't breastfed, but her two older brothers were. & nbsp; She was a twin, and her mother's doctor told her she wouldn't have enough milk. & nbsp; I see a trend!

At 01:34 AM 4/23/99 , you wrote:

I have a question for everyone:

How far back do you have to go in your family to find someone who breastfed?
