I was having some problems with Jojoba Oil, too, so I tried Aloe Vera juice.

That's right, juice not gel. It can be applied topically as well as

injested. I pour some in my hands and then pat it all over my face, morning

and night. I have used Aloe Vera gel in the past, and I find the juice

works much better, probably because it is 99.9% pure. The gels often have

additives, also they are not absorbed into the skin as well as the juice is.

The juice absorbs so well, I can apply moisturizer on top of it. My skin

loves it. I found the juice at a health foods store. If I'm feeling really

adventurous one of these days, I might try drinking it.

Moisturizers..

Hi, I live in Canada.. and I have a feeling this winter is going to be

pretty harsh on my skin.. and already the jojoba oil is showing signs of not

cutting it during the day. I'm also still using the LTD discs and maybe

cutting down on their use will help with the dryness. Does anyone have any

moisturizer suggestions besides Face and Day and jojoba oil?

Hi

A stomach specialist told a relative to drink Aloe Vera juice ,pure

for his stomach, told him he drinks it for his.

I tried it just 1/2 a cup sometimes.

Never heard before that people drank that.

I also tried aloe vera juice that I got from GNC. I'm not sure if it

was because I had a flare up and my cheeks were extremely hot and

purple, but I had to take it off immediately. NOTE: It has citric acid

in it!!

My juice does not have citric acid. I buy it in bulk, and the dispenser at

the store reads, " Can be ingested or applied topically. " The juice that has

citric acid may be meant just for drinking, I am not sure. I do know that

my skin has improved a great deal since I've been using the stuff.

At Rainbow Grocery, which is in San Francisco. It is like a supermarket,

but with all organic foods, plus lots of herbal supplements and all-natural

products. Unfortunately it is not a chain. But, there are similar-type

stores that are, like Whole Foods. Also, someone on the board said she buys

real aloe leaves in her supermarket, so that is another way to get pure

aloe.

I hope I am not recommending something that is near impossible to find. I

will check the web to see if it can be ordered.

Pat, I wasn't successful with aloe vera gel. It made my skin red and

extra rough. I use gylcerine mixed with water for extra moisture. It

seems to work for me.
