Guest guest
I posted something yesterday that I was either getting a cold or just sinus probs but this morning I feel TERRIBLE and have a sore throat. Davian hardly slept last night and I finally brought him to my bed at 3:00 with the intention of waking up at 6:00 to go to work. When I woke up at 6:00 I thought " No way am I going to work today " Anyway, I started taking Echinacea for myself this morning. Anyway...onto Davian. I brought him to bed at 3:00 and tried to nurse him to sleep while I was laying on my left side. After about 30 minutes he was STILL sucking so I switched sides. He could hardly breathe to be able to suck. He kept sucking and coughing and sucking and coughing and it's been the same thing all night long and so far all morning to. What can I give him to help clear him up a little bit? He sounds really congested but doesn't have any fever. I have tried the " booger sucker " but he just starts screaming and I'm not able to get much out. I'm going to call his pediatrician right now and leave a message for the nurse to call me back, but if you have any suggestions please let me know. BTW, Davian is just a happy regular baby otherwise. He's not fussing or crying just can't breathe when eating and I think the drainage is making him cough. THANKS!
Guest guest
, How old is Davian?? if he is older than 3 months, you can try that vapor bath that they have.. When Amandelyn was so stuffy I took her in just a plain bath and it helped alot.. I would also try the humidifier, and propping his head up.. Sorry to hear he isn't feeling well.. I hope he gets better soon.. Christi

That might help. Mainly just comfort and letting him do the on and off thing on your breast so he can breathe. Just stay in bed with him and both of you can rest. Feel better real soon. Lots of water. Wendi >> Wendi- It's worth a try. Thanks
