Guest guest
Tim, The feeling that you have is one of the reasons I don't take meds... I hated that hung over feeling, and I did not experience a great deal of pain relief either. I tried for a year, though. My Dr. put me on zanaflex instead of Neurontin, and took me off the Elavil (amiltryptiline) and I did a little better. Try to hang in there until your next visit, and then, perhaps, they can make adjustments. Hugs, Jo
Guest guest
Tim, I am on Lexapro and Elavil too. 100 mg of the Elavil and 10 mg of Lexapro, it takes up to a week before you feel anything like relief and the drunkiness goes away after a few days. I didn't like it either but it does help me sleep, I don't get any other relief from them though. ilducks2004 wrote: First off I apologize if I haven't replied to previous messages the last few days, bad week.I went to my new Doctor and he has placed me on Amitriptyline HCI, Leazapro and Celebrex. The pain has not subsided and I am now in this funky fog. I feel like I am a few steps off. I know Lexapro and Amitriptyline are aniti depressents and when used in combination tend to block pain receptors but how long doese it take to work.Just feeling this way for two days is enough and there is no pain relief so whats the point. I rather have the pain than to feel this out of whack. The only way I can describe it is its like a really bad hang-over without the pounding headache. The doctor wants to see me weekly until I start experiencing pain relief so I can hang with this for another week, just wanted to know if any others experienced this and is it a short term reaction?Hope you are all well!Tim

Guest guest
Not as bad today, but still woke up due to pain last night. I still have that 'not so right feeling' I think that it is probably the anti- depressents. I have yet to see an advantage but I will give it more time. Guest guest
, I see the doctor on a weekly basis untill he gets the pain under control so I will definately let him know. I take the meds at night, but I feel like this all day and evening untill I take them again. Its not so bad today, the angziety has subusided quite a bit but that foggy lathajic feeling is still there. No pain relief though. Hopefully tomorrow will improve as well. Hope all is well, Tim > > First off I apologize if I haven't replied to previous messages the > > last few days, bad week. > > > > I went to my new Doctor and he has placed me on Amitriptyline HCI, > > Leazapro and Celebrex. > > > > The pain has not subsided and I am now in this funky fog.
