At the end you still get your baby..... " Now let me also say that I don't necessarily agree..... I went natural with all of mine. And I didn't have little babies.... They were 9lb 14 oz and 21 in. long, 8 lb 10 oz. and 21 1/2 in. long, 9 lb. 7 oz. and 22 in. long, and then 9 lb. 1 oz. and 22 1/2 in. long. I just happened to have quick labors though. If I were in labor for like hours and hours I probably would have given in.
Guest guest
, Good job stating your opinion respectfully. I am sure you got those girls thinking. Wendi Re: epi and pit.... From: Mparker90@... One good reason to go " natural " is that babies will typically nurse better after a drug free birth. I think some of our initial probems came from me getting the epi. I fully intend to get a doula for the next time. I feel that is a way I may have a better chance of getting through labor with no drugs. I do not think it is a sin to have an epi and is necessary in some cases in order to cope and deliver vaginally. I just think there are things that are hindered with a epi birth. On a side note...I was at a cropping session (for scrap booking) last night. Two of the gals, the CM consultant and her mother were talking about a friend who nursed her child (who, I guess was an older child) and saying how horrible they thought it was. After a while of them trying, IMHO, to elicit responses from the other ladies there, I piped in. I said that I think it is okay as long as it works for that family. They were shocked. Luckily, one of my frineds from LLL was there and agreed with me. We said that we probably would not choose to do that, but that we respect people who do make that choice for THEIR families. They were also shocked when I told them I would allow my Clay to self wean. It was a friendly discussion at least. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Are you hogging all the fun? http://www.ONElist.com Friends tell friends about ONElist! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Breastfeeding is Best!! http://www.mariaann.com/breastfeeding If you like this list also check out http://www.onelist.com/subscribe.cgi/weanedbuddies
