Guest guest
Peg, I had all of your symptoms too. They resolved with hydrocortisone. I will admit that I never gave isocort a fair chance to see if that would have done it..My bottle says take up to 8 pills a day, so maybe you need a few more. nne _____ From: melmoop@... I'm on 2 grains of armour in the morning and i just started taking isocort. i started with one and then upped it to two in the morning and two in the afternoon. i'm still feeling all the signs of adrenal fatigue - insomnia plus that persistent feeling of just having been electrocuted while also feeling exhausted and craving sweets like there is no tomorrow. am i taking too much isocort? should i lower my dose? i'm also taking 2 drops of dhea in the morning and a pituitary glandular - just started the p.g. today. maybe i'm taking too much. i feel my adrenals need the support, and i have yet to get the saliva test back. any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you. xx peg
Guest guest
thanks for answering my question @ isocort. i'm wondering if my 2 grains of armour is too much? i cannot imagine taking 6 or 8 isocorts. i'm really scared - i have palpiations and i want to jump off a cliff - the insomnia is making me crazy. i'm starting to have nightmares. i'm also trying to get off wellburtin as i know it is a nervous system stimulant. i'm depressed. totally dysfunctional. i'm bingeing on sweets - i am going mad, at least that is how i feel. really i just want to sleep. i think that is where this needs to go - but i cannot sleep without tylenol pm - i have been this way for three years. i am losing my mind. my doctors do not understand. maybe i should lower my thyroid dosage. if i hear a siren, i jump through my skin. i want to go to yoga but fear that it will only make it worse. i am so sorry to vent and to complain. i feel like such a baby but this has got to stop. thank you for listening. peg
Guest guest
Bingeing on sweets is an adrenal symptom. Yo would do well to get onto hydrocortisone or deltacortril. I used to crave chocolate, so much so that I would eat a bar every day. Now I don't even think about chocolate and I don't have the highs and lows that chocolate induces Lynda (in the UK) Re: isocort dosage thanks for answering my question @ isocort. i'm wondering if my 2 grains of armour is too much? i cannot imagine taking 6 or 8 isocorts. i'm really scared - i have palpiations and i want to jump off a cliff - the insomnia is making me crazy. i'm starting to have nightmares. i'm also trying to get off wellburtin as i know it is a nervous system stimulant. i'm depressed. totally dysfunctional. i'm bingeing on sweets - i am going mad, at least that is how i feel. really i just want to sleep. i think that is where this needs to go - but i cannot sleep without tylenol pm - i have been this way for three years. i am losing my mind. my doctors do not understand. maybe i should lower my thyroid dosage. if i hear a siren, i jump through my skin. i want to go to yoga but fear that it will only make it worse. i am so sorry to vent and to complain. i feel like such a baby but this has got to stop. thank you for listening. peg

And that is what I like about this board - people are willing to be honest with their struggles! karen
Guest guest
Hi, Lynda, I've heard too that progesterone helps with this symptom too. I know that progesterone supports the thyroid. I suppose in turn it supports the adrenals. I know also that progesterone can be converted to cortisol. So that may be how it makes a difference too. in Va. Bingeing on sweets is an adrenal symptom. Are you sure you're not thinking of pregnenolone....which is the precursor to all adrenal hormones and can convert into any one of them? Guest guest
HI, Peg, I didn't realize Wellbutrin was a stimulant. Although, come to think of it, it can impair sleep. I was on 400 mg. a day. I was told to take 200 in the morning and 200 in the afternoon or evening. I tried melatonin for sleep and it didn't work at all. Then when I saw my new psychiatrist, he told me all the Wellbutrin could be taken in the morning. Then I found that the melatonin works fine. What time did you take your Welbutrin? in Va. thanks for answering my question @ isocort. i'm wondering if my 2 grains of armour is too much? i cannot imagine taking 6 or 8 isocorts. i'm really scared - i have palpiations and i want to jump off a cliff - the insomnia is making me crazy. i'm starting to have nightmares. i'm also trying to get off wellburtin as i know it is a nervous system stimulant. i'm depressed. totally dysfunctional. i'm bingeing on sweets - i am going mad, at least that is how i feel. really i just want to sleep. i think that is where this needs to go - but i cannot sleep without tylenol pm - i have been this way for three years. i am losing my mind. my doctors do not understand. maybe i should lower my thyroid dosage. if i hear a siren, i jump through my skin. i want to go to yoga but fear that it will only make it worse. i am so sorry to vent and to complain. i feel like such a baby but this has got to stop. thank you for listening. peg
Guest guest
i love wellbutrin. i didn't realize it increased ALL of the mood enhancers. no wonder i like it so much. i am aware of the lack of appetite, but i am too obsessed with food to not eat - even if i don't have an appetite. i was taking too many thyroid meds so i started having all sorts of crazy sweet/carb cravings. too bad the wellbutrin couldn't off set my craving. i hope to increase my dosage soon. i may increase from 150 to 200. maybe 100 in the morning and 100 in the afternoon. peg > > Yep, the Wellbutrin SR seems to last forever, doesn't it?
