Guest guest
> My husband had diabetic blood glucose for the time he was in the > hospital with triple by pass surgery and a week or two after. And now > normal for over a year.....???? no answer as to why probably. The stress of the surgery was enough to kick his BGs up. It's similar to what happens in gestational diabetes. The extra IR during pregnancy causes DM in people who have that tendency. When the baby is born, BGs return to normal. But eventually, most people with gestational develop type 2. Guest guest
> So do you think it will also get my husband again in time??? Yes, but he might be 110 by that time. Also, warn him not to get pregnant. My mother was Dx'd when she had cancer surgery but then returned to " high normal " afterward. She's now 94 and her A1c is above normal, but it was OK for about 20 years. Gretchen

They claim the islet cells can be induced to regenerate just like the rest of the glands and hormonal outputs. Of course, the protocol also reverses metabolic syndrome. Meanwhile, the chronic oxidative stress that results in most of the complications of diabetes can be stopped with what else but antioxidants. Also, a couple of herbs (gymnema sylvestris is one if meory serves) can also help to restore pancreatic function and it is said, islet cells. Add to the above the common knowledge that we can induce better cellular sensitivity to insulin, and the word " cure " does indeed come to mind. and the cure would of course be maintained by a reasonable diet. If you'd like to query these statements, I can put you in touch with the specialists who are doing it, and also some audio files in which they detail their methods. regards, Duncan Crow
