Laurie,

Well I definitely have a working bladder!

I was hoping that you would get better news today, as far as the mind

problems I really do understand, if anything it ups the frustration

level.

It may sound silly, but every day you beat this is one day closer to

a cure, keep the faith, there will be better days!

Hope you rest well tonight!

Tim

You are in my thoughts.

of the problems. Forgot who said NEW TRMT For RSD!!! LOL. Take care

my friend.

I do think of you all during the day.

prescribe the patch different then what it's intended. Insurance

won't pay to have it changed any oftener than 72 hours. He talked

about going back to rehab. I told him they will just take me off

narcs. again and I will have no choice but to live in pain. I told

him I did for the last 2 years blah blah. He's at loss what to do

next. Kind-a disheartening. But I will persevere. Just gotta really

pay close attention to balance. You know I hate that word.,

it's a tan with sleeve lines. Just your face and half your arms. You

wouldn't want to see me in a suit!! I'd say it's a KODAK moment but

it ain't.

> I suppose I should go back to pain dr. but I'm scared. I know I

can't make it without the narcs. I have had such quality days while I

have been on it. It just bothers my mind. Any one think that way? I

know I can live but I was just waiting to die early so I could be

pain free. Not that I would speed up the process. Just could not see

living that way anymore. Enough of my whininning.

Laurie,

There are still plenty of options that your doctor can give you.

One is, break-thru meds. Hydrocodone is one of those that does work pretty good if you can take it every 4 hours or less.

Roxicodone is one of those. You can take 1 pill every 1-2 hours as needed while you are in a flare. You don't have to take them constantly....only when you know that you are going to over do it, or, when the pain creeps up on you. Once the flare calms down.....then you don't have to take them again until you need to.

Or, the Lortab/Lorcet. I'm on those now, and, for some reason....anything mixed with Tylenol really doesn't help me much at all.

Then, there are still blocks. There are Lumbar Sympathetic Blocks for the lower half, Stellgate Blocks for the upper.....Bier blocks....Trigger Point Injections, Epidural Drips.....

There are quite a few different things. Some are in and out appointments....that only takes 4 hours max, to some that you can be in the hospital to have done for 5 days.

I know someone who just went and had the Continous Drip where you are in the hospital for 5 days, and you have PT while you are in there. She has RSD in her upper and lower....and they did this to her legs.

She has used a wheelchair/scooter for over a year now...and, just yesterday, she went to Alantic City to the BoardWalk and WALKED! No Cane, no crutches, no scooter. She was able to walk for the first time in 4 years....all because of that Epidural Drip and Physical Therapy.

She is part of this group, but usually doesn't have much time to sit on the computer either. It was because she couldn't due to the pain.....now its cause she can go and do so much now!!!

But, I'm sending this email to her also...cause she gets group mail in Digest.....and sometimes misses emails. At least when I send her something....she does read them! lol

So, you might get an email from Danette....she can give you quite a few other choices that you can choose from.

Don't give up all hope. Some older treatments do work...and, they are working on new treatments too.

Tim,

Glad everything came out alright.

My nite was a so so. But the day is looking better. I think I'm finally back to

baseline. Have a client coming today to hem up her dress. So gives me something

to do over the long weekend. Do you have any plans?

How's it going with the meds? Any improvement any where?

Take care,

Laurie

Laurie,

So glad you are doing better!

Still real fuzzy and no luck with the pain, but I am still breathing

so thats a Plus..lol

No plans, just another quiet day around the house...which I like...We

were going to go to an outdoor resturant and bar Sunday to hear a

band play but it is right next to the Mississippi River which is out

of its banks and we are supposed to have severe storms again Saturday

and Sunday so I will be hiding at home.

Hope you have a nice holiday!

Tim
