Guest guest
Becky Hi the hospital in charlottesville isnt so great we have had so much trouble with that hospital. I thought they would be good because they are a teaching hospital but the care is substandard and so are the way they treat you and talk to you. Iam now looking for drs in richmond. I have fond a nero she is the one who wanted to know why a child having a seizure and a blood sugar of 400 was never checked into before being labled epileptic. Especially with diabetis on both sides of the family. she said most epileptics have more then 1 seizure every 3- 6 months and that with nothing on his cat scan or mri with both being normal and no learning delays that they should have zoomed right in on possiable sugar problems. I would love any information from Richmond That was my next choice after theterriable time we had from charlottesville. Iam even considering changing his ped to as his ped is with University of Virginia health system. I really appreciate your help. Gill wrote: Hi, , You're very lucky to live where you do. You have the best of both worlds. Crime free small town that is commuting distance from some of the best medical care available! (I'm in Frederick County, land.) Charlottesville has a teaching hospital, doesn't it? There are at least three major hospitals in Richmond, there's Norfolk, VA, there's s-Hopkins in Baltimore, Children's Hospital in DC, and countless others, any of which should be able to refer you to competent doctors near you if you explain your problem to them. There are so many resources within driving distance to you. I sure wouldn't put up with the nonsense you have been for one minute longer. My mother was an RN in Richmond and has a friend in Richmond who is still in nursing and happens to be diabetic. They may have some resources, if you'd like me to ask. Please keep us posted. Best to you, Becky My horses are barefoot...naturally!
