Guest guest
If you go to the Nordic Naturals site, www.nordicnaturals.com, you can type in a search for a local store in your area. My local store didn't have the ProEFA, but they did have the Complete Omega (in capsules and liquid), which from what I understand is the same thing as ProEFA. From what I've read and heard here, I'm starting my 4.5 year old son on 1 capsule a day for a month or so, before deciding whether or not he should be on 2 capsules a day. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this assumption. I am new at this, and actually just purchased the Complete Omega today!!! Hope this helps! Blessings............................. Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the site and have a 26 month old son who is only saying two words presently - " hi " and " fish " . He has been enrolled in EI for several months now, and will say new words, but they don't stick. I started him on ProEFA about six days ago. I have seen a behavior change for the worse - more tantrums and very clingy as well as nausea, vomiting and decreased appetite. Just wondering if anyone else has ever had this experience, or if it could all be coincidental. I am going to stop giving it to him tomorrow, however, and see if this clears up. Thanks for any help,
Guest guest
Hi, - We didn't have nausea, etc., but we noticed Josh was a lot more active after just a few days on the supps. Could your son be getting sick - flu or something? How about his ears - when Josh would get ear infections he would have similar symptoms to what you've described - after a day of those symptoms, he would start the crying and holding his ears, then fever. What fun. I would try stopping the supps to see if that has an effect but I'd also check out other health issues. Just a thought. Guest guest
i don't know the answer to that question. i asked my pediatrician that same question today and he didn't know. he said to defer that question to my neurologist and GI. I've not spoken to my neurologist in person about this but his nurse told me that the doctor doesn't want me giving any Omega 6's to my son who is epileptic. I will ask him why the next time i see him which won't be soon.
