If the doc was testing your free T3, yes, this would be a good plan. But it he's only testing your TSH, I am wondering if the TSH will not be much different. TSH can lag behind what is going on. But I still think it's worth a try, what you are proposing. T4 would only be slightly effected by holding off on the Armour. It's fall is slow. Guest guest
this is what I need to know - what the 'life' of what those tests are testing for is. I'm guessing that she will be willing to test the TSH and free T4. I'm going to demand the free T3 - even tho she doesn't believe in it - sheese - how can it hurt her to give it to me??? and they do the bloodwork in the office, so I can hardly fudge the paperwork for it!! thanks! Guest guest
hmmmmm I guess I will have to not worry about that - I'll re-ask and if she says no, then I'll know she is not going to help me - for sure. I plan on asking her - on her terms though too- the TSH - to optimise it. point out that as long as she keeps it within her normal limits - but on the lower end of normal, it won't hurt me, and perhaps could help. and if that fails, I'll just not deal with her and bloodwork. take what she'll give me and get the rest of what I need from rxforless. I have my online order form filled out for the armour, but was waiting for 2 things before I order it. One - to see if my rhemy will give me hydrocortisone - if he won't, then I'm ordering that too. And - to know if it is ok to go generic. right now, I have regular armour checked off. I want to support Forrest Labs also - I thought I might order both - if they shouldn't be mixed, then I'll stick with armour, since that is what my prescription I get now is for.
